Midnight Mick
AOL Explorer Beta .1025 Known Issues * For testers upgrading from AOL Browser builds prior to 4234.122a: The Install directory has changed to AOL Explorer as a result of new branding. Old versions of AOL Browser desktop icons will not get cleaned up when upgrading to this latest build. Most cases the old icon should get repointed to this latest build but in some cases the icon will result in a broken short cut link, which can just be removed. * For testers upgrading from AOL Browser builds prior to 4234.122a: Testers upgrading from previous versions of AOL Browser to AOL Explorer will notice two "...Startup" folders in their Favorites tree, one in the AOL Browser folder and one in the AOL Explorer folder. Both Startup folders will work but only modifications to the startup folder in the AOL Explorer folder will be recognized when AOL Explorer is launched. * For testers upgrading from AOL Browser builds prior to 4234.122a: AOL Explorer may have to be reset as their OS default browser if they had set this previously. * "Reload Feeds" link on the Feeds Panel is currently not working. * "Add New Feed" button within the "Add/Remove Feed" dialogue window is currently not working. * "Clear My Footprints" does not clear the History if the option to "Do not show this screen again" has been checked for the "Always show confirmation screen". * Although this bug is expected to be resolved in this build, some testers may still encounter an AOL Explorer startup error, "Error Code 10". If this error is received, please follow these steps for a workaround: 1. Launch task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) 2. Select "Processes" 3. End Task on all instances of AOLServiceHost and AOLHostManager. Relaunch AOL Explorer. The AOL Explorer team is aware of this potential error. Midnight Mick
Things I don't like about this browser: The Favourites are listed alphabetically but with folders & files mixed instead of folders first then files. You can't removed the AOL search button even though it isn't installed by default.
