Oo Big boy. ;) You're so cool, seriously. I wish I was as cool as you but I guess I never will be! :(

I'm sorry, I forgot that skulls aren't associated with death in any way.

Oh my god, I feel special now, thanks very much great one!

You're Welcome!!

I haven't been through this whole thread but if Between the Buried and Me hasn't been mentioned, check these guys out. They are awesome. between_the_buried_img_01.jpg

Their sound is melodic metal with elements of death and prog. http://betweentheburiedandme.com/alaska/

Also in my metal listening list, you'll find the usuals, Metallica, Maiden, Priest, Slayer, Anthrax, Pantera, but you will also find the great Dream Theater that has been mentioned earlier in this thread along with Darkest Hour, In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, All that Remains, As I Lay Dying, DevilDriver, Static-X, Fear Factory, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Arch Enemy (I still can't believe that is woman singing on the later albums), Mastodon, Trivium, Unearth, Zao, Tool, Throwdown. Man, my list could go on.

Have you guys checked out Battered? Awesome!! It helps that is?s a local band too. Concert two weeks ago, tremendous fun.

there?s a video and song on www.battered1.com

I qoute:

"

With its members musical interests spreading from grindcore, to symphonic metal, through alternative and black metal, the band members decided to focus on where it all had begun for them: with in-your-face thrash metal! Music stripped down to its most basic and brutal form. Battered has shattered all links to its members former associations, and are instead focusing on making innovative music fueled by aggression. Instead of leaning on the visuals of corpse paint, chain mail, and lyrical connections to the occult, Battered lets the music speak for itself. Confident that the raw power, and the live expression of it, needs no further visual hor'deuvres.

I like this band, good thrashing elements, although their young and have a chick singer, I do enjoy it. Cannot wait for their new release.

Their bassist is nice and funky. Just how I like em :D .

What's with people and creepy metal? They all even have wierd names that are creepy... Can't we all just go back to the 80's when they had real talent? Or hope the British Metal comes back.

Hmm, anyways, Iron Maiden releases a new album in September titled A Matter of Life and Death. Don't know if anyones posted it yet. It's been at the website for a while.

Oh, and whoever didn't like Dream Theater at the beginning of the thread, consider this, they have one of the fastest guitarists, ever.

To be honest never been a big fan of british heavy metal. More of a death metal fan my self

If you're into Entombed (Creepy!), or Grave (even Creepier!) these guys have something you might wanna check out. song samples here- http://shop.relapse.com/artist/artist.aspx?ArtistID=10177

And no they're not from Sweden. They've got some great song titles. My particular favorite is - "The Old Lady Rots (But The Checks Keep Coming)." Classic  .

Stupid screamo/emo music being played on the tv :x :x

He was obviously making fun of the metalcorish screamo on the tv, but wasn't he making fun of death metal too? :o With the cookie cookie cookie being part of the formula for metal. I caught him on Conan and he showed that video.

I listened to part of the new All That Remains, and it is pretty damn good. gotta listen to it more to come up with a better decision but so far it's good. I've also been listening to the Nodes Of Ranvier. Very good Christian Metal, and the guy's voice is soooo brutal.

OMFG the All That Remains album is AWESOME. it's like night and day from their first album. im guessing the really hardcore metal fans wouldnt like it... but they should try The Weak Willed. it's probably the heaviest on the album.

im going to have to check out Nodes of Ranvier (Y)

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
