Too much hype over this new album, some songs people havn't heard yet. Well their not that good. Too blue's, soft kinda music. I don't like it. Their drummer I know him but cannot remember the name, he doesn't suit the band either I don't think he will last long in there.

Damn right, i'm British but most British metal sucks. They try too hard. Sweden pulls it off easy.

I think this was true 5 years ago, but lately there's been a lot of good Brit bands coming through, in particular Akercocke and Tangaroa.

Akercocke are progressive black/death metal - really innovative stuff. Their latest album is really incredible!

Tangaroa are a new math/grindcore band - they sound a lot like early Dillinger, Converge, Ephel Duath. I think they have a myspace page so you could hear some samples there!

I just got the first Anata album. They're a really good band. I prefer their first two releases to the third one. I'll have to check out that newest one.

The new All That Remains is awesome. I loved the first two, but this one is phenomenal. Phil's vocals are right on.

Haven't made up my mind about the new Strapping Young Lad yet, though.

I saw Death Angel play in Hollywood a few weeks ago. They were totally amazing needless to say. Been listening to old school thrash a lot as a result. D.A., Testament, Nuclear Assault, Kreator, Slayer, Sodom, VoiVod & Forbidden. Ahh the glory days.

We're all entitled to our opinion - but I personally think they're an amazing band, mostly because they're original and not a rehash of some other band out there.

I do prefer Scar Symmetry's older album as well myself, the new one isn't that great. I heard the new hatebreed album as well it's pretty good I liked it, not too much of a hardcore fan myself but it was ok.
