How is everyone?

Listening to:

Melechesh - Emissaries

Mithras - Behind The Shadows Lie Madness

Nile - Ithyphallic (very good, purchasing on release date) :D

Bah, too much -core around here lately! Do I have to come back here f/t and whip this place into shape? ;)

Oh yeah, attending Summer Slaughter 2007 (7/8) and Nile (8/21).

do you ever listen to Chimaira? his vocals are the best combination of heavy screaming with clarity. It's real heavy but you can still make out the words.
I've heard a song or two but wasn't too fond of them. Not quite sure why as I can't exactly remember why I didn't like them haha. Maybe I'll have to have another listen. Anyone have any idea (rumours) about what Arch Enemy's next cd will be called? I haven't heard any news on it in a while.
what would you call it?

Dimmu Borgir used to be a symphonic black metal band, but are now considered to be symphony extreme metal since they've largely been shunned by the black metal community due to their changes in style and resulting commercial successes.

fair enough

Yeah, whether it's fair or not, they've joined the metal elitist's "**** list" so to speak. I don't really like their latest release, but I thought everything from Death Cult Armageddon on backwards was good. It's just funny because the same elitists who think albums like Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Spiritual Black Dimensions are **** now probably thought they were great upon their release. ;)

yup, tis how it goes...

2 new Killwhitneydead albums:

-Hell to Pay

-Nothing Less Nothing More

Both great albums, on par with their previous releases.

Oh, and if you've never heard of these guys before, they're best known for their heavy sample usage. The vocalist is great, and they've got some killer riffs.

Give 'em a listen if you're in the mood for something a little different from everything else out there.

Bah, you fools must keep this thread alive!

Just discovered Scariot, a good death/thrash/progressive metal band along the lines of Nevermore and Communic. In fact, Oddleif Stensland from Communic was once the vocalist. Their latest album has DiGiorgio on bass, so that's always fun.

    • It's expensive, but I bet it will still sell out just like the Steam Deck and the Steam Controller
    • This is listed as a preview in WU for me. I usually don't grab them as previews; what's your opinion on it so far?
