As I believe some others have said, the new Between the Buried and Me album, Colors, is the most progressive and standout album I've heard in some time.

I've been a fan of Between the Buried and Me for some time, and while I've always found their singer's metal vocals to be somewhat monotonous (and it remains true for this record), the musicianship and song structures just blew me away. There are so many different influences they infused into this record... hell, calling it eclectic would be an understatement. If you threw classic BTBAM metalcore, jazz, pink floyd, and power-metal into a blender, I guess this is what would come out. And you know what? It works.

Give it a listen, you won't be disappointed.
