The Carolina Panthers have acquired wide receiver Rod Gardner from the Washington Redskins in exchange for an undisclosed 2006 draft choice and have signed fourth-round draft pick Stefan LeFors from Louisville, the team announced Thursday.

In four NFL seasons, Gardner (6-2, 213 pounds) has tallied 227 receptions for 2,997 yards and 22 touchdowns in 64 games with 61 starts.
