dontrelle willis, dude from the whitesox...

Dontrell gets 400,000 grand this year. Wow.

But, he does only have a 3.07 era compared to Clemens 1.46.

Clemens gets 18 mil this year. OMG!

Pedro has a 2.76 ERA.

Clemens should win it just from the way that he's pitched but with the run support he's had that hasn't translated to wins sadly and that may keep him from the Cy Young...

Jon Garland in the AL but that's only because Roy Halladay is hurt since he was pitching the best at the point he got hurt.

If Mark Buehrle can come close to Garland's wins he might win it because of the number of quality starts and consecutive streak of pitching at least 6 innings in a start.

Tough call either way

I hope he doesn't burn out that arm before he has a chance to re-sign.

Him and Mike Cameron need to take a class on what constitutes facing front. :p

Willis has started the second half notoriously bad. Looks like he may follow tradition and have that post All-Star break dip. In the NL right now I think a darkhorse is Chris Carpenter of the Cards. I'm personally pulling for Pedro considering he revitalized the Mets. And he DOES have the numbers. Leads the league in Ks, tied for 4th in Ws, 7th in ERA. Attendance is up 26% on the year overall. And he nearly sells out every game. It's been a while since wathcing the Mets was FUN. And as for Clemens, it seems like ya need the wins. Look at Johnson last year with Arizona. He dominated but couldn't get run support and was just 2 over .500.

The AL I don't follow enough but based on numbers I'd take a pick from Garland, Buehrle, and Halladay. There's reports Halladay might be back as soon as Tuesday. Of course, if the injury lasts as long as 4-6 weeks then yeah I'd pull him out of it.

I agree bigblue, being a mets fan also, this has been the best year since 2000 when they made the worldseries. The NL East is just an amazing division this year, seeing Pedro pitch is just pure fun.

If Clemens can keep doing what he did in the first half of the season, he will win another Cy Young. Willis could finish 2nd place, but it will depend on how he finishes in the second half.
