Hey all. I did a seach on this type of discussion and didn't see anything off-hand but i'm sure it's been talked about before. Either way, I still need help if possible. Here's the problem.
When using Photoshop CS on my Mac, I select a color for the foreground color (see exhibit A).
Exhibit A
After selecting the color, I used the OS X (Tiger) utility called DigitalColor Meter to double check the color of the working space image. It is different as you can see in exhibit B.
Exhibit B
Then, when I save for web, you can see the color of the saved image is the same as what I originally chose in the color palette (see exhibit C).
Exhibit C
So, I don't understand why when I choose a color such as ECECEC, it turns into E7E7E7 in the working space. When saved for the web, it remains the original ECECEC that I selected. Any ideas to why this is happening?
