Librey - Download Manager

Recommended Posts

I am reinstalling Windows today (back to XP from Vista), so I can test the proxy function later on :). The code is not affected by the installation, since it's being developed on my server (Windows Server 2003, .NET 1.1) ;) So, no worries.

Will work on the preferences, etc. then. :)

Looks great! I really like the new look in the beta, and everything works great!

Any chance resizing the window will be a possibility soon?  :)

Thank ya ... Hehe awaiting some good results :p

would be nice:

- default download location, or ones that you get to choose from (let's say 3)

- set as default download manager

couldn't download:

- Default Download Location: will come in beta 2 ;) this was already planned.

Now a question about the bug. Could you post me the URL? This would be nice :)

Oh, and on the right side, the 'Advanced Download Information' panel, it's not a bug that it's showing the 0KB ;)

nice :D

:)

you changed your name :o

Yea :p

Update: I'm coding in Librey the support to start application with, arguments that means that I'll be able to add extentions for 3rd party browsers.

Example:

Let's say Librey.exe is place in C:\. And the file which you'd like to download is located at http://www.address.net/file.exe.

So, in CMD it would be like:

C:\Librey.exe http://www.address.net/file.exe

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

I have some problems with the feature to make the app useable for other browsers... Since 4 days, I'm trying to figure that out ;) Don't worrie, I'm just reporting, so you don't think, you have a wait again a year till next build :D

it may be the first, but def. not last :shifty:

This is one sweet app, can't wait until Beta 2!

Thank you too :)

Now I little update. Well, the bug is still there, but I also have some good news. I've tryed to compile Librey current internal build in .NET 2.0 Beta 2. It has compiled with success! (x64) :)

So I think, there could be 2 versions of Librey

- .NET 1.1 version

- .NET 2.0 version

But we have still to wait, till .NET 2.0 will be released :/

Also, in .NET 2.0 version of Librey will be FTP support :)

Does this mean that we might see an x64 version also?

Also, .NET 2.0 is awesome, can't wait to see that build.

Yup :) x64 and x86 version in .NET 2.0

It's just, when I compile Librey (by default) in .NET 2.0 as x64, and if you have x86 installed on your PC, the application will run at the x86 mode, but when you also do have the x64 edition, the application will run automaticly in the x64 mode ;)

So, I need to compile the .NET 2.0 edition of Librey in x64, and it could run also on x86 :)

Sorry for the long explanation

So, again, short summary:

.NET 2.0 == Librey x86, Librey x64

.NET 1.1 == Librey x86

:)

Probably, the full version of Librey will be available in .NET 1.1 and in .NET 2.0, the next versions will be only .NET 2.0 based ;) I just cann't support both runtimes for a long time.

Awesome! I just ordered an Athlon64 processor/mobo yesterday and probably will be running XP x64 so this is good news indeed.

I have not so much a bug, but a problem:

Yesterday my brother f***ing pulled out my ethernet cord while I was out. He noticed, 4 hours later  that Librey.exe took up 100% CPU time. Is there a way that if the connection gets knocked out, that the program won't freeze up?

    • BS, I've yet to run into a typical pc user that uses it at all, let alone half the population.

    • The site is pretty sparse on features / tech specs. Can I plug it into a PC/hone/Switch via USB-C and use it as an external display? If so, what's the virtual resolution of the screen, the refresh rate, PPI of the image etc? Is the text crisp enough to use for coding at say 12pt? Is it good enough for playing dark games, like say Path of Exile 2? How about fast games like car racing games? Just how do they expect anyone to order this thing without giving out all this info?
