NiTeFlY
Nah. Looks like I may have to wait for beta 2, or maybe a bios update will fix it (if it is a bios problem) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/354200-vista-wont-install/page/2/#findComment-586335823 Share on other sites

russlndr
I had the same problem. Solution: I burned the image with PowerISO instad of Nero. I recommend using the lowest buring speed possible. Hello1024
Um - you're a bit late on this topic... BTW, I expect this has been fixed now, as a lot of bootloader code appears to have changed. Imaginos
Aw, be nice. My hat is off to that guy for doing a search at least. Sure, he did a little thread necromancy, but he wanted to contribute something and dug up a thread that it was relevant to. And BTW, Nero seldom fails to get the job done. Check your install. Dr.Jones
yeah it is obvious now that you did not obtain Vista through legal channels, otherwise you would have no need to burn. If you need support, and you truly have a right to use the product, use the support channels through microsoft.reported WTF is your problem ? I've been a member of Connect for a long time, and I always burned my Vista betas to DVD. fishrman
I get the feeling that it might have been a CRC issue; if you actually take the 3 seconds it takes to learn how to use the command line-based utility, you would be able to CRC-check both your ISOs and burned discs, helping you further pinpoint the problem. cropcircles
Rarely are you going to get CRC errors with ISO's unless they were packaged improperly. Bin files are another story.
