This might be stupid but u can have a try.. Go to bios, disable your SATA channels, then go to pc and disconnect the power of those SATA Hard Drives.

I am telling these to u because once, i notest that my SATA HD in linux were being recognize even with the SATA disabled in Bios.

Try now to install Vista.

Aw, be nice. My hat is off to that guy for doing a search at least. Sure, he did a little thread necromancy, but he wanted to contribute something and dug up a thread that it was relevant to.

And BTW, Nero seldom fails to get the job done. Check your install.

yeah it is obvious now that you did not obtain Vista through legal channels, otherwise you would have no need to burn. If you need support, and you truly have a right to use the product, use the support channels through microsoft.

I've been a member of Connect for a long time, and I always burned my Vista betas to DVD.

I get the feeling that it might have been a CRC issue; if you actually take the 3 seconds it takes to learn how to use the command line-based utility, you would be able to CRC-check both your ISOs and burned discs, helping you further pinpoint the problem.

Say WHAT? The Vista Betas are being offered as both downloads AND physical DVDs. I suggest you get your facts straight before making unwarranted assumptions about validity of procurement. :angry:

Dude, that post was made in august 2005, before it was issued to public.

I also have this problem when trying to install vista
