That special name has to be 1970 Ford Twin Cam Escort (White)

streetsprintday4oa.th.jpg

Built in April 1970 for release in June 1970.One of the few painted in White, most were other colours.

It?s history in Australia is unknown. Imported into NZ in 1997 with another Escort Twin Cam 1972/GT1600 which has since been sold to Victor Chapman.

Unrestored car in excellent condition, STD black trim seats, some original paint, engine is a balanced 1700cc with Nissan Steel rods etc, modified cams, ported head, 40 carbs. This motor pulls strong from 4000 - 6500 RPM.

Gearbox is ultra close ratio Bullit 2.23 1st

Brakes STD with competition linings.

Suspension lowered all round.

Adjustable Konis all round.

H/ratio Steering Rack - all new bushes etc.

Wheels- Minilite replicas.

I have used this car for some Club events. Never had a Roll cage. Performance and handling really good. This car would restore as a nice road car as all the bits are there.
