well over power/weight the saleen has the advantage.. but a automotive review tested the z-tune 0-400 m run with around 10.06 secs during development and the saleen 10.7 secs with the quarter mile (402.25m)

OR that's what they SAY it did. But c'mon, is that the first time an automaker has blown smoke up your pipe to market a new limited edition car? It was not approximately a quarter-mile, the car could've blown up had it ran the length and then the time wouldn't have been so good. Anyway, after looking at the interior of the Z-Tune, that S7 is looking might slick, regardless of me hitting my head on the roof everytime I enter the car. And this is what these are always about; " I can pay $5K for this car, put a tc and some aftermarket stuff, and it'll run faster than you pricey ferrari", but in the end, it'll still look like a honda and feel like a bunch of plastic.

Edit: i'm not trying to be mean now, I like this car too, but for the money, the S7 wins hands down, even if it gets me to the club 1second later.

Ruins handling? You gotta be kidding me...

If you're talking about stock for stock on quarter miles, obviously the Z-tune is no match for the Saleen. On track, it depends a lot on the driver as well, either could win. Potential wise, the Z-tune can be pushed further than the specs say, as long as you have the money.

Anything can be pushed further then specs. But there is a rule "there is no replacement for displacement". Basically, i am saying that a 7.0 liter if "turned more" spent more money could make more power.

Oh yeah when i was referring to handle, it was more in a drift sense. But please go look up the weight distrubtion on your Z-tune. I bet is 60-40. Even with AWD can we say "understeer". Of course the Z-tune isnt set up for a drift, since handling is not losing traction. Also the r34's arent (from what i know), known for handling. I mean they are tanks 3500 Ibs 2 door. That rivals a z28 in weight.

u guys cant be serious comparing a saleen with a god damn skyline...

the skyline has been tuned, meaning at stock it wasnt meant to have a big turbo whacked on it or whatever it has on it. the wear on the engine will be massive compared with that on the saleen..

The saleen will hit 0 - 60 in 3.2 Secs, the skyline cant match that it will just spin forever.

round a track the saleen will hammer it, maybe 3 - 4 seconds more..

it just isnt about performance, the saleen with have a race chassis, and a lot more development to make sure that car flies around a track.. the skyline is the stock chassis with upgraded springs, so the shell is still un-aerodynamic..

Also, because the skylines power is from tuning its power comes in at 6,800rpm and its redline is at 8K, i just dont know how u guys can compare to the saleen to the skyline..

the saleen will leave it on straight, track, space... anywhere man.

thats nice, but doesnt say much about the car(s) neither car probably hit top speed in the 1/4 mile and i guarantee u at distances over 1/4m at full acceleration the Skyline will be so bogged down by wind resistance its not even funny

skyline will win just over chip it ans your sorted

u can also boost the turbos in the saleen so whats the difference? The turbos in the saleen are only at 4-5lbs if im not mistaken.

I still stand by my initial statement.

The Skyline IIRC runs a 10.1 1/4 mile. It's a pure handling car.

Plus you don't seem them often. I'll drool over a Skyline more than a Saleen

You're telling me you see a $500k Saleen S7 more than a $100k Skyline? I think you mean the plain jane Saleen...

With that said, I think you're crazy
