0 Brian M. Veteran Posted August 31, 2005 Veteran Share Posted August 31, 2005 yeah i had that with the first beta i tested. I found it was the WMP song information clashing with media player 10. I didnt have that with any of the other beta's though. It just used to say "Your connection to the messenger service has been lost - reconnecting in 60 seconds..." 0 taher
i had same problem.. msn cant seem to detect connection very well.. i found out that when i use a proxy in Internet Explorer, it doesnt work.. and if i go without a proxy in internet explorer, it works fine.. its only like this in msn 7.5 .. 7.0 works normally.. it seems that msn now doesnt allow you to select from Connection->Advanced if u want to use Http/socks/Tcp connections.. and instead (probably for simplicity), it tries to detect all that.. and it seems to fail sometimes.. try not using your proxies and go online.. good luck! 0 Brian M. Veteran Posted August 31, 2005 Veteran Share Posted August 31, 2005 i dont know about anyone else, but i dont use proxies in IE. Everything is set to AUTO in IE, and that manages to pick up my connection. I think we'll be expecting another messenger update soon :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/362862-msn-messenger-75-build-0299-connection-problem/page/5/#findComment-586457801 Share on other sites
