Avoid GameKeyStore.com!

Recommended Posts

I purchased a Guild Wars key from them on the 1st August, and have been playing it ever since, however for the past few day's I have been unable to login, so I e-mailed NCSoft, after describing the problem to them and sending them the key I used to create my GW account they tell me that the key I used was purchased with a forged credit card. I was a bit worried about this, but then I remembered that I paid GKS via PayPal, and that all went through fine, so the problem is there end, I immediately went to the GKS website and surprise surprise the site is closed while the bloke is on holiday!!

You can still access their forums and it looks like I am not alone, other have the same problem with their GW accounts purchased from GKS!

I sent him an e-mail asking for a new key or my money back, but I know I have no real chance of either.

I have been done by the robbing ba****ds at GKS

Avoid them like the plague!!!

Ben

(ps sorry for spelling, grammar etc, I'm in a mood!!)

Just saw this on their forums from another user

Your CD-key was desactivated because it forms part of a batch of CD-keys involve in a fraud of bank card.

We hold to announce you that the site GameKeyStore is not an official site to buy a CD-key on line. You can to only get a cd-key on line by having an account Principal PlayNC.

Don't hesitate to recontact us if you have other questions.

yeah, toxicity josh or something. I'm sure it's just a mistake that he'll correct when he gets back from holiday. He seems like a nice bloke

It was his choice, no need to rub it in his face. He's just a victim of a crap company.

Can't believe anyone bought into this.  The keys were STOLEN if not just generated by a Keygen.

Use your heads.  What company ever just let CDkeys be sold without the entire software package?  NONE!!!!

PT Barnum had it right... A sucker born every minute.

Uh, according to Josh he and the people who he got supplied from bought directly from the companies there overseas where it is much cheaper to buy than here in the US or the UK. I know several people who requested SCREENSHOTS of the software packaging from him and he sent them the screens (and no, the screens were not the same)

The Guild Wars thing is something else completely. He only ever had two or three accounts available for GW, and he said quite clearly that these were either already used accounts or he got them from other sources than he usually did.

There's plenty of people from Neowin who bought keys for BF2 or some other game, and are enjoying said games now with no problems whatsoever.

I suggest before everyone jumps down Josh's throat and jumps to conclusions, you just wait and hear the other side of the coin here :)

While i dont know about this specific situation there ARE shops that send you CD keys. You have the options to either get the whole package per regular mail or a cd key per e-mail. There's quite a few shops doing that, nothing really strange with it.

However the admin name would turn me off.

Well spoken!

So why are the CDKeys being blacklisted due to a credit card fraud then?

586433500[/snapback]

Because NCSoft is not as matter of fact when it comes to purchasing other people's accounts or cdkeys. Plus I do think some of those accounts were purchased with fraudulent credit cards (and no, I don' think Josh or GKS had anything to do with that, thanks)

because cdkey purchasing is NOT ALLOWED by NCsoft! if they suspect on bit they ban your account. Same goes for account purchasing.

Yes, which is why GKS never offered actual cd keys, only already used accounts.

Just a question, what about the people that buy CS:S or HL2 cd-keys, some say their account is stolen after.

Josh does each cd key manually from what he tells us. It's possible that a few keys may wind up being mixed in with keys already used. This has happened to several of my friends, and Josh quickly replaced any cd key with a new one.

    • New Outlook for Windows and Web is getting a simple but very useful email feature by Sayan Sen Recently Microsoft put up a blog post highlighting not one, not two, but 15 total reasons why it feels you should switch to New Outlook already. If that was not enough, the company is bringing another new feature soon that could finally compel you to switch over to the new app. According to a recent update on the Microsoft 365 roadmap, the tech giant is making changes to how message sorting works when users choose criteria besides the traditional options of From, Subject, or Date Received. The idea is to provide better options for the attribute being used for sorting and make it easier to understand why messages appear in a particular order. For those unfamiliar Outlook already allows users to sort emails using a variety of fields including sender, category, importance, subject, and message size. Users can access these options through the Filter menu in Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web. With the upcoming change, whenever users sort by a field other than From, Subject, or Date Received, Outlook will automatically display an additional column showing the value being used for the sort. For example, if messages are sorted by Size, a Size column will appear in the message list, allowing users to immediately see the data that determines the ordering of emails. Microsoft believes this should make sorting behavior simpler and reduce the need to manually adjust views or inspect individual messages. Support for sorting by Flag Due Date is also coming and should be especially be helpful for users who rely on email flags to manage follow-up tasks and deadlines. The feature is listed under Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 564803 and is expected to reach general availability beginning later this month itself (June 2026). You can find the entry here. As always though, users should keep in mind that roadmap timelines can change and rollout schedules may occasionally be adjusted by Microsoft. Outlook for Web is also set to receive this feature.
    • That is true. but the liability side of my balance sheet is clean and has been for decades.  Nobody comes a knocking,  calling or writing harassing me for the money i owe them.😎👍  Haven't dealt with "a money changer" in decades and like Jesus it was in Jerusalem.  Don't have much money, but have even less stress in my life.👍👍     P.S.  Sorry, can't walk on water or change it to wine,
    • Maybe ? DLSS Swapper (can swap the DLSS/FSR/XeSS versions) as long as the game (typically online/competitive) doesn't checks for file tampering. You can try different version(s) or update if not the current version of the FSR. https://github.com/beeradmoore/dlss-swapper
