quigley0 Posted September 2, 2005 Share Posted September 2, 2005 when I was in the Army, I used to love to get my soldiers to do Interval training. Best training you can do in my opinion. The really long run, usually results in more injuries then helps. Now, that is just what I've seen, if running 8mi a day is working for you, then dont stop! Basically, I like to go to the track, and sprint a lap, and then slow jog a lap. Wash/rinse/repeat. After 2 miles of sprint/slow jog (alternating intensities while you do it), it can kick you ass, and it doesn't take very long either. Man, I am motivated now to go out there and start again.
