A somewhat different screenshot to my last..

fluxbox using the FluxAqua theme (thanks for the link, mark)

Wallpaper is something from Deviant Art --> Wallpapers --> Abstract (a section worth checking, and PM me if you want the actual file)

Using Eterm -x --buttonbar=0 --scrollbar=0 -0 to get a completely transparent, borderless console.

^^^ I see London.

I see France.

I see someone's...

I.P. Address. :o

I dunno if you are sensitive to this info, but if you are, you might want to edit your screenshot. ;)

^^ You are using gedit for editing your config files?  I switched to nedit a few months ago, it is much lighter and quicker.

Thanks for the recommendation. I downloaded nedit.. not sure if I'll get on with it. The interface is a bit too windows 3.1 like for me... (not sure if it's a good comparison, lol - but it looks old... :p) Is it themeable? I'm open to other suggestions too..

I also don't find gedit to be particularly bloated.. maybe because if I'm editing a config file I won't be doing much more than playing music.

and mark, as you use Flux Aqua, which gtk theme do you use to go along with it, or are you not too bothered about getting them to match?

From what was gathered earlier when this was discussed, it seems that it uses OpenMotif. I looked into it, and it seemed that theming it was a lot of work...

Most of the matching between KDE and Gnome types of apps has already been done in Fedora, from what I can tell. I didn't to anything special, and they are similar on my box. I was happy with the defaults provided.
Marshalus

what gtk theme?

Edit:

seethru were can I find that linuxinfo program?

I got it through apt-get, I don't know about arch linux or where you'd get it.

Very excited about Breezy, enough so that I grabbed a daily iso and installed it yesterday. Had an issue w/ DHCP but it actually ended up being my router dying on me. So far so good, things are smooth, and theres lots of subtle changes that I'm enjoying in 5.10.

^^

Must say that is one of the nicest KDE desktops I've seen in a long time. Is the system tray Superkaramba?

586479515[/snapback]

Everything on the desktop (excluding the icons and amaroK of course) is a Karamba/SuperKaramba module. The dock/taskbar, systray, sysinfo panel, clock, calendar, weather, all karamba/superkaramba.

    • This 4K webcam from Acer is now only $59.99 by Taras Buria Those looking for an affordable, high-resolution webcam from a reputable manufacturer can check out the latest deal from Acer, which puts its 4K webcam at a solid price. Thanks to a 14% discount, you can buy this all-metal 4K webcam from Acer for just $59.99. Despite the affordable price tag, the webcam has a pretty large 1/2" CMOS sensor manufactured by Sony. Apart from its size, it supports additional conveniences, such as high dynamic range and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). Plus, the camera ensures you do not have to buy additional audio equipment, as it comes with two built-in high-sensitivity microphones, a built-in background noise filter, and the ability to pick up your voice from up to 2.5 meters away. Acer is not cheaping out on materials, and the webcam is enclosed in a more premium metal case, which is also good at heat dissipation (high-resolution cameras can get quite hot). And to make sure no one is peeping at you when the camera is in use, there is a magnetic cover also made of metal. Additional conveniences include an LED status indicator and a built-in mount that lets you place a camera on a tripod. • Stop reporting AR glasses as an X inch screen, Y distance away. That is a horseshit meaningless spec. Report on the actual FOV angle. That's all that matters. And for the record, this FOV is ~49degrees. So we're talking about HoloLens level FOV... i.e. it's like looking through a piece of paper at arm's length.
