Thanks Vector.  Those start buttons are tight.  They compliment the caption bar buttons AND the solid progress bars.

anyone mind pointing to me how I can mod this into LE4?

it's really nice.

:D to em3, really nice style. love it lots. haha. can't wait till my friends see my desktop again. haha.

Hmmm

tbh I really don't think this style is the second coming like others proclaim. The caption buttons are quite nice...but thats where the improvments, imo, stop from 3.

The start menu is a monumental step back from LE3, even the 'compact' version attempts the takeover on your screen. And its not just big, the colours on it are inferior as well. The taskbae i'm not the largest fan of either, old style was better, again imo.

Not trying to down on your work, but after 380246802pages of hype, and whatever page this lands on here, I expected something a lil better (and I guess different). But its still a very nice style (like the mouseovers in the all programs menu)

The great theme about LE4 is that it's more polished and it gives a lot of potential for personal mods so you can make it look amazingly good. Everything looks just right (XP like but not too much Vista like either). A perfect blend.

With some personal modding I have an incredibly nice style to go between back and forth.

It's a shellstyle, you know like the task bar on the side in explorer...

original, always own mock ups (mine) :D i was wondering, why do you always leave a 1 pixel space on the bottom of the button? i understand the top part...

If you have the taskbar at the top of the screen.

@Boz: Please share the blue horizontal shellstyle I see in your screenshot. I like it a lot. :o

@Mad_Griffith: You have my permission if you want to post your shellstyle.

    • As much as I love owning my own hardware, it's hard to argue with the value. I'm not a huge gamer, I'd actually be interested in a cheaper plan with limited monthly hours, or even a pay-by-the-hour plan.
    • Well, they (LibreOffice/The Document Foundation) are bitchy and whiny, yes, but they're right, at least this time. It doesn't make sense to market something as "free and open source to thwart dependency on foreign companies' software" but at the same time, using the format of said companies (Microsoft) by default. That way, you are changing nothing, essentially, you're just using another UI. I'm not saying they should drop other formats altogether, but they shouldn't default to the thing they're trying to run away from in the first place. If you're gonna do something, just go all the way in, don't stop in the middle, IMO.

A browser that is made for you. Vivaldi is produced with love by a founding team of browser pioneers, including former CEO Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner, who co-founded and led Opera Software. Vivaldi’s interface is very customizable. Vivaldi combines simplicity and fashion to create a basic, highly customizable interface that provides everything a internet user could need. The browser allows users to customize the appearance of UI elements such as background color, overall theme, address bar and tab positioning, and start pages. Vivaldi features the ability to "stack" and "tile" tabs, annotate web pages, add notes to bookmarks and much more. • I'm surprised they haven't found a way to fix that. As much as I don't like software wasting memory, a file manager is the kind of thing that makes sense to keep running in active memory for super-fast recall. I suspect that is why MS makes their File Explorer part of the main explorer.exe shell, so that it is guaranteed to always be running.
