Premgenius
Uniross is the world leader in rechargeable batteries and chargers the Uniross Sprint 15min LCD charger is the latest charger that can charge both Ni-Cd (Nickel-Cadmium) and Ni-MH (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries in 15 minutes. Some of the features of the Uniross Sprint 15min LCD are: -Intelligent charging system. -Charges AA/AAA batteries. -LCD charging display shows charging status of each battery. -Reverse polarity protection. -Built in electronic charge control. -Trickle charging. -Bad cell detection. -Can work off 110/240 volts. -Safety timer. -Temperature Controller. -Comes 4 x 2300mAh AA batteries. You receive the charger in a plastic sealed packing. The package contains the -Uniross Sprint 15min LCD. -Power Cord. -Power adapter. -Documentation. Let?s take a closer look at the charger, you notice air holes on the top for cooling, four charging 'poles' the charger is very light. Once I was ready I plugged the charger into the socket and the LCD came do life with a blue light and the words Uniross where displayed on screen. I popped in my drained Uniross 2500Ma Ni-mAh rechargeable batteries and it started charging, then noise start to come from the charger, it has a fan in the charger which blows out of the air holes on the top . About 15mins later the battery had charged and the charger was in trickle mode, what Uniross call Maintenance charge which is used to maintain the maximum energy level this continues for about 30 - 45 minutes after which the battery is fully charged, I've made a little video.PROS:b> LCD for individual battery charge display. 15min charge. Works with both 110/240 volts. Charges any rechargeable Ni-MH and Ni-Cd.CONS:b> Pricey. Loud due to fan. Need 30-40mins to fully charge. Force required getting batteries into and out of charge. When removing batteries, the end at the bottom may rip the battery skin.Source:b> Dan's Dome

charger-user
I had d chance to use a friend's set and noticed that when he loaded the batteries onto the compartments; d jackets were scratched badly. He said that it was unavoidable as he was told when he bought it that due to the high charging current, the spring loader at the top must be very tight and so when loading onto the compartment, the bottom of the jacket will be scratched. The batteries were very hot even with the fan. It will be worst than putting your batteries under the Summer hot sun on your dashboard. Believe that only the special light blue 15min batteries (2100mAh only) will be charged in 15min but any normal rechargeable ones will take about 60mins or so depending on the original charge status. It CANNOT charge Ni-Cd. The instruction says that you can load when powered, I was wondering would you want to have your fingers between 12V at 6500mAh contacts? The very reason we professional want to use fast charging is that we need the batteries for professional use. The 2100mAh batteries were low entry level and not suitable for our use. This one is for something about VIDPRO 1hr charger with 2700mAh batteries at US$29.85!!! http://www.digitalfotoclub.com/sc/product-...sp?id=964587784 As I asked my friend, this Uniross charger will not be able to charge 2600mAh above as the safety timer will cut off so you will not get max power from these new batteries. Therefore I am not sure if it is really worth that price......just a thought after experiencing the product for trial.

I was quite confused after reading some forum and visiting some websites. I found there are many China manufacturers offering chargers which appear similar to their range on websites. http://www.vanson.com.hk/index.html This website showed products of the CR-V3 and Mini plug-in. http://www.eastbloom.com.hk/cframe.html This website showed products of the small travel charger. http://www.everfast.com.hk/catalog/battery...rs-c-23_34.html This website showed products of the compact charger. http://www.everfast.com.hk/catalog/15-minu...a-aaa-p-79.html This website showed products of the 15min charger.
