*SPOILERS* Battlestar Galactica, s2e10

Recommended Posts

I've read spoilers from other sources...supposedly that is a "mothership" of some sort...larger than the basestars. There seems to be some discrepancies between what happens in season 3, but most of what I've read agree on a few points;

The Pegasus gets royally whomped on and is used to retrofit the Galactica both with weapons and Vipers. Supposedly both the Battlestars engage the two basestars, destroy one and seriously damage the second, with Starbuck pretty much mowing through the Raiders in her stealth ship...then the Mothership takes on the Pegasus and pretty much kicks the crap out of her.

Oh, and at some point Cain dies. :woot:

At this point, treat this as speculation, because I'm attempting to consolidate several sources and still reading..but these seem to be common concepts in most of the spoilers I'm reading.

its still going to be season 3... scifi is pretty much known for splitting up their season's in half. season 3 probably wont start until july 06, but the 2nd part of season 2 will start in January.

However since the brits will start airing season 2 episodes in october, I can see newer season 2 episodes (episode 11 and later) being aired in the UK before they air in the US (by maybe 2-3 weeks).

REALLY?!?! :woot:

I'd lost hope for a bit, since I'm moving to Japan in January...at least I can "acquire" them before I go...

Ok...tons more spoilers that the Pegasus gets stripped for parts. That's pretty much been confirmed...

Also that supposedly something comes up in the fleet where certain Colonials want to attempt peace with the Cylons. Lots of blurbs about Baltar giving "Gina" (female Number 6 aboard the Pegasus) a nuke somehow(?).

I think the big ship is probably some kind of central command ship. I know raiders don't have pilots and I'm pretty sure base stars don't either so this big ship might be a central computer to guide them all.

You should rewatch that episode where Starbuck scrapes a brain thing out of a raider.

Christ, you guys complain when I do, then complain when I don't.  Sorry I'm not up on the "rules" posting in a spoilers thread for the show we all just watched on basic cable.

Whatever, have fun.

I created this thread to discuss/spoil episode 10 and to SPECULATE about future episodes, not for you to post actual spoilers. It's not hard to figure out. If you want, you can create a new topic and spoil every episode to season 3 as you please.

Yeah, but one is free to spoil if one so chooses. I don't like it, but it's called freedom of speech. ;)

I think the "new ship" is what all the cylone female/males are traveling on - hense to 2 base stars for escort. Notice how they get around alot - and i doubt it would be using a raider with all the bio-machanical bits stuck inside??? Also they would want to be close to rescue sharon & whats-her-face on the pegasus???

Definite possibility, however Sharon has no intention of being rescued as she hates the Cylons themselves. Plus look at what the Chief and Helo did for her. Now Number 6 may want to be rescued, however I personally think the Pegasus is going towards them and the big unknown ship isn't coming for them.

The idea I got is that the Pegasus found Galactica because the Cylon fleet kept tracking the Galactica. This makes sense considering the Pegasus is only one ship whereas the Galactica and Co have 30-40 ships.

I still think Admiral Cain or one of her higher ups is a Cylon. Since Ensign Ro (god, she'll always be known as Ro, lol) is not signed (as of now) to anything more than a few episodes, it would make sense to have her by a Cylon or one of her close officers a Cylon.

As for that large ship, my guess is it's sorta like the entire Cylon civilization (like in ID4) that they move around from system to system to get natural resources, or it's a big giant roaming movie theater/pavillion.

So no one freaks out. :p

That big ship is being referred to as a "Resurrection Ship" on several sites. Take that for what it's worth...don't want to "spoil" anything in this spoilers thread.

Btw, everything I posted earlier I said was speculation, most of which should be common sense. The show is called 'Battlestar: Galactica', not BS:G and Pegasus...and like LOC said, Cain is only signed on for a few episodes, and when one looks back at the original series with how the Pegasus/Cain went out...

you know that they won't be sticking around for long. My only concern is how much damage Cain will do before she gets offed.

Looking back, only a handful of characters from the Pegasus were given speaking roles...most prominently the aeronautical engineer from the Pegasus who fills Chiefs role.

If/when the Pegasus goes down

...they probably emphasized the engineer for a reason, and he designed the engines on the BlackBird...things are looking grim for 'ol Chief, especially being sentenced to death. I wonder if they'll manage to save both of them?

Again...all SPECULATION, but it's a shared speculation. Is that good enough to get me by?

that's exactly what i am thinking. why would robots/cyborgs need with a planet? especially since they are out trying to Kill an entire species? they would use everyone and everything to get the job done.

    • Microsoft admits one of the most crucial Outlook features is currently broken by Sayan Sen Microsoft is making some decent progress when it comes to Windows 11. Recently we have confirmed reports of some rather useful improvements landing in the next version of the OS, 26H2, wherein GPU driver TDR crashes may finally be fixed, plus the company is also allowing users to disable web content on the Search. On the Outlook front though things have not been so rosy. Last month in May we reported several problems affecting basic functionalities on the app. These included a problem where documents would open blank or corrupt themselves. Following that, Quick Steps, a very useful feature, would no longer work correctly, and finally, Microsoft acknowledged a problem wherein images would fail to load up properly inside the email. Microsoft had resolved those bugs later and almost exactly a month after we reported on them, the company has now admitted a new similarly basic issue, this time on Macs. Users recently started noticing that Outlook would no longer display email threads properly as the original message itself was not displayed. An affected user Tsoumpas, C (ngmb) nicely described the problem in a forum post they made on Microsoft's site. They wrote: "Description of the issue: After updating Outlook for Mac [Version 16.110 (26061317)] on 18/6/2026, replying to any email no longer includes the original message in the reply window. Prior to the update, replies correctly contained the original email text below my response. Expected behavior: The original message should be included in the reply, as in previous Outlook versions and according to the configured reply settings. Actual behavior: The reply window contains only a blank composition area (or only my response), with none of the original email text included." Obviously this must be a highly frustrating for users as noted by several in that thread. The post, at the time of writing, has also been upvoted by more than 40 users indicating that is a fairly widespread bug. Thankfully Microsoft seems to have acknowledged the problem right around that time as it opened a new issue on its official website. In the support article, the company recommends switching to Outlook for Mac from the legacy app, where the problem appears to be happening.
