*SPOILERS* Battlestar Galactica, s2e10

So no one freaks out.  :p

That big ship is being referred to as a "Resurrection Ship" on several sites.  Take that for what it's worth...don't want to "spoil" anything in this spoilers thread.

being sentenced to death.  I wonder if they'll manage to save both of them?

Again...all SPECULATION, but it's a shared speculation.  Is that good enough to get me by?

All good points. It's not suprise that Galactica will kick butt. I don't remember the old show, I do remember there were at least two battlestars in that show. But yeah, it will be well worth seeing Pegasus get it's butt kicked. I don't believe the Chief or the LT will die. They are important gigures in this show. I'd like to see exactly how the Pegasus "retro" fits and repairs Galactica. Galactica can definately use more Vipers and Raptors.

I think it's a bad choice for Galactica to go after the Unknown ship, unless they have an ace up their sleeves. I fail to see how just one stealth fighter will do it. When's that baby popp'n out of old girl there? When's Baltar suppose to be found out, or become the Cylon leader?

in the original baltar get his head choped off by the cylons for failing to destry the galactica fleet :p

We also have to remember that by season 3-4 they should have reached earth (if they stick with the original). Maybe the ship is the invasion fleet? Makes sense as a cylon - let galactica find earth & then kill everyone at the same time???

Definite possibility, however Sharon has no intention of being rescued as she hates the Cylons themselves. Plus look at what the Chief and Helo did for her.

yeh but in #9 when they were watching the colonial news report, female 6 was happy sarron & her unborn were still alive and they wanted to make sure it stays that way. Also it was sharon who showed them the way to get to earth & stops the cylon raiders - Maybe sh'e just trying to get on-side to do an ultimate double cross?

They didn't find Earth in the original did they? I thought they just got a transmission when Apollo and Starbuck left the room.

Anyways I have one feeling that I think we all agree on. Galactica '80 has to be forgotten and the creators have to pretend that it never happened. just like Highlander 2.

yeah they found earth in its pre-interstellar state (mid 80's) they had children in it that could jump really high and were geniuses

am i showing my age now?

I think the ultimate aim of the show is to show us that in brutal times that we as a people become more like our enemies, and it's only by retaining our humanity that we show our true potential, I also think not every Cylon will indeed be a bad guy and that they'll blur the line by having some real defections.

But I'm pretty sure that Battlestart Galactica and Galactica '80 are two different shows, I know they found it in '80 but I don't think in the original they ever did. But yes you are showing your age, galactica '80 was terrible. Didn't they have wristbands that made them invisible or something?

I think they are just borrowing some things from the original, but since this is a reimagining of the original Battlestar series, I doubt Ronald Moore and the writers will decide to take the show in the exact same direction as the original.

That was the bike/plane thing they used to fly about on - they had a cloke to make em invisible :p

Hmm, I was thinking about this. The music in the beginning of the episode, when they find out the "unknown" ship was the Pegasus, did the music sound like something from a porn or from some 80's flick? That said, I think I liked it. I'm not sure.

Buck Rogers space scenes had soo much in common with BSG down to how they showed the sticks when they were piloting thier ships and the camera work when they'd launch thier ships that I was sure that a cross over was imminent and the Buck Rogers world would indeed be the 13th colony.

It made more sense than Galactica '80 so don't laugh at me.

Buck Rogers was cool if not only for having two super hot women in it. Buck Rogers is the only character that I can remember who would consistently be kidnapped by a crazy hot space princess who wants nothing more than him being his sex slave and he always escapes. What an idiot.

And the original theme was pretty cool, poor janitor doesn't get any love though.

I don't even know what Galactica 80 is. Probably for the better by the sounds of it.

All good stuff my friend, all good stuff. They should show the stick in BSG now from time to time at least. :)

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.
