Noticed a change in Sharepoint intergration, different icons... the messenger icons have now changed to Microsoft Office Communicator ones. It seems to load documents off Sharepoint Portal servers faster too but that might just have been a coincidence.

Personally, I've never found any office sp* useful at all. Even with office 97, 2000 and xp

the only useful thing IMO you can get is outlook fix (for those using the email client)

I always found these fixes to fix very specific things that, even for a poweruser that I am with excel, I wont find fixes useful

Will this update require the original Office 2003 CD? If that is the case, I have to bring my disc from home tomorrow night in order to update it.

You don't need the CD if you have the installation source cached locally.

This would be the hidden "MSOCache" folder in the root of your hard drive.

You can also slipstream service packs into Office just like you do with Windows.

I have a non-legal (;)) version and I installed it fine. It asked for the CD, pressed OK and it installed perfectly.

I think the full install file (the 100+ Meg file) does not require the CD.

Pretty weird. I downloaded the full install package, and it did require the original office CD.

Edit Don't mind, I just read the MSOCache matter.

Oh. I downloaded 'Office2003SP2-kb887616-client-enu.exe'. That's why I needed the CD to install. :)
