Is Your Son a Computer Hacker?

Recommended Posts

Quoted and modified with my throughs in bold:

As an enlightened, modern parent, I try to be as involved as possible in the lives of my six children. I encourage them to join team sports (Hah, no, don't like sports). I attend their teen parties with them (Erm, how about no? How can we have fun?) to ensure no drinking or alcohol is on the premises (Its called a TEEN party, dumbass - its what we do). I keep a fatherly eye on the CDs they listen to (LMAO, I use an iPod, dunno about you pal!) and the shows they watch (No, I will get annoyed and lock the door - with you outside), the company they keep (okay, thats the fairest thing he says) and the books they read (sigh).

That is the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Do you see LILO when you start up?  If so you are using Lunix and have to send the computer back to the manufacturer to get a new harddrive fitted.

Is Quake installed on the computer?  Quake is a popular hacker meeting place.

Popular hacker software include Bonzi Buddy, comet cursors, Flash.

And guess what ppl, AMD is a hacker chip in his eyes

ohh man that is the stupidest thing ever indeed.

I think he just bought one of them magazines "PC World" and called it his "research". That is trully stupid. Funny thing I find is that he mentioned "Flash" , Flash!!!!!!! and not a miserable port scanner. Ok I'm gonna make a safe bet here and say that about 95% of us neowinians are on the computer more than a hour a day(I'm usually ten hours or more depending on how busy I am, but that's just me).

*bells ringing* MODS!!!! You should ban this site and everyone in it and call the FBI WE ARE ALL HACKERS!!!!!!!

Stupid people, stupid people stupid people :argh:

5. How much time does your child spend using the computer each day?

If your son spends more than thirty minutes each day on the computer, he may be using it to DOS other peoples sites. DOSing involves gaining access to the "command prompt" on other people's machines, and using it to tie up vital internet services. This can take up to eight hours. If your son is doing this, he is breaking the law, and you should stop him immediately. The safest policy is to limit your children's access to the computer to a maximum of forty-five minutes each day.

Ok and is it just me or is this beyond wrong and missinformed11!!!!

this is the funniest and stupiest thing i read

Popular hacker software includes "Comet Cursor", "Bonzi Buddy" and "Flash".

lol

Has your child asked for new hardware

ya mommy i need a video card to hack lol

Does your son use Quake

lol

Is your son obsessed with "Lunix"?

i dont have nothing to say lol

Has your son radically changed his appearance

ya i i will get a mo hawk becuz i go on computers lol

somethings are best left not ecplaining

If your son has requested a new "processor" from a company called "AMD", this is genuine cause for alarm. AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips. They use child labor extensively in their third world sweatshops, and they deliberately disable the security features that American processor makers, such as Intel, use to prevent hacking. AMD chips are never sold in stores, and you will most likely be told that you have to order them from internet sites. Do not buy this chip! This is one request that you must refuse your son, if you are to have any hope of raising him well.

What kind of nonsense is this guy....lol throw me into the hacker circle

AMD 3000+ O.C'd to 3400+

1gig pc3200

2 10,000rpm W.D. raptors in RAID 0

nvidia 5900 soon to be a 6800 ULTRA (gotta have the faster card for hacking)

I keep a fatherly eye on the CDs they listen to and the shows they watch, the company they keep and the books they read. You could say I'm a model parent. My children have never failed to make me proud, and I can say without the slightest embellishment that I have the finest family in the USA.

sounds fun.

I use an AMD cpu that means I can tell all my friends I'm a computer hacker.

6. Does your son use Quake?

Quake is an online virtual reality used by hackers. It is a popular meeting place and training ground, where they discuss hacking and train in the use of various firearms. Many hackers develop anti-social tendencies due to the use of this virtual world, and it may cause erratic behaviour at home and at school.

If your son is using Quake, you should make hime understand that this is not acceptable to you. You should ensure all the firearms in your house are carefully locked away, and have trigger locks installed. You should also bring your concerns to the attention of his school.

I never laughed so hard!!!! This guy is very funny, because he is being serious.

    • "just $100 per TB"? Just? Are we trying to make this seem like the new normal? Kinda weird to make it sound like that is not a ridiculously expensive asking price.
    • The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.
    • Report: Microsoft to use AWS to help GitHub deal with a major surge in demand by Pradeep Viswanathan Thanks to the surge of coding AI agents, GitHub's usage has skyrocketed over the past 12 months. To meet this demand, GitHub started with a plan in October 2025 to increase capacity by 10x. However, by early this year, the company realized that it needed 30x scale. This rapid growth has caused severe strain on the platform's reliability, resulting in several small outages over the past few months. In April, GitHub published a long blog post explaining the steps it is taking to resolve these reliability issues. In the post, the company also confirmed that it is working toward a multi-cloud architecture for better resilience. Today, Business Insider reported that GitHub is turning to Amazon Web Services to help deal with a major surge in AI-driven coding activity. It is important to note that GitHub is still in the process of moving completely to the Azure cloud. The current plan is to move the platform fully to Azure by 2027 so that it can scale better as per developer demand. Therefore, the current decision to utilize AWS might be part of a short-term plan to meet immediate demand. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that GitHub is using multiple cloud providers with the following statement: For Microsoft, the decision highlights the operational pressure behind the AI boom. GitHub has to stay reliable for developers at a time when rivals such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI coding tools are gaining attention. And the decision to use AWS for computing capacity seems practical given the circumstances.

    • Qwen 3.6 is better value per dollar, and you can run it locally for free.
