An Irishman, an Italian, and a Polish guy..

Recommended Posts

An Irishman, an Italian, and a Polish guy are in a bar. They are having a good time and all agree that the bar is a nice place.

Then the Irishman says, "Aye, this is a nice bar, but where I come from, back in Dublin, there's a better one. At MacDougal's, you buy a drink, you buy another drink, and MacDougal himself will buy your third drink!" The others agree that sounds like a nice place.

Then the Italian says, "Yeah, that's a nice bar, but where I come from, there's a better one. Over in Brooklyn, there's this place, Vinny's. At Vinny's, you buy a drink, Vinny buys you a drink. You buy anudda drink, Vinny buys you anudda drink." Everyone agrees that sounds like a great bar.

Then the Polish guy says, "You think that's great? Where I come from, there's this place, Warshowski's. At Warshowski's, they buy you your first drink, they buy you your second drink, they buy you your third drink, and then, they take you in the back and get you laid!"

"Wow!" said the other two. "That's fantastic! Did that actually happen to you?"

"No," he replied, "but it happened to my sister!"

I hate jokes that are racist. Polish people live in a destitute country, but the people have ambition and travel overseas seeking higher education and better jobs. The origin of dumb Polish jokes is heart-wrenching to say the least. Before and during World War II, the German leaders felt they could prevent Poland from being a threat by killing the Polish scholars. Any Polish person with a college degree would be murdered by German soldiers, so that they could not advance their society into a threat to Germany. Calling someone from Poland stupid is the epitome of stupid.

Sorry to be a troll, but Polish jokes really offend me.

Maybe Germany was just mad they took German land and called it Poland after WW1 and 2. And of course, Stalin didn't want to give his invaded Poland back so they took pieces of Germany.

dude you are really off base. Nothing demeaning towards polish people is intended or implied. Could easily reverse the order or not have Polish at all. Stop taking things so personal.

Zeitgeist is right. Making fun of the Polish is somehow acceptable, where making fun of blacks and hispanics is somehow taboo. Jokes are like viruses; they spread from person to person. When you group someone by their race with such terrible connotations, the effect it has on Polish people is really bad. I witnessed someone tell a "Polish guy" joke to a Polish friend of mine. I felt sick to my stomach. He didn't know the Polish are ridiculed in the States for being stupid, even though they aren't, and even though the origin of the humor comes from acts of murder.

Edit: I understand jokes aren't meant to be politically correct. They poke fun at a certain groups expense, and it's funny. My problem is unique to Polish jokes, because educated people were heartlessly killed, and now we crack Polish jokes at the dinner table.

ORIGIN OF POLISH JOKES came from Nazi German propaganda that was then pushed ironically by Soviet communist sympathizers in Hollywood.

The racist stereotype that Poles are intellectually inferior or have subhuman intelligence came from Nazi German propaganda and Soviet propaganda.

For example, the MYTH that Polish horses were used to attack German tanks in WWII was total Nazi German propaganda that the Nazi Germans repeated over and over until it took a life of its own using the BIG LIE technique.

The Soviet Communists saw the value of this myth and the racist notion that Polish people have subhuman intelligence, so they had their Left-Wing sympathizers in Hollywood push it using Anti-Polish Television and Movie imagery to the American people.

The image of Polish people having subhuman intelligence was useful to the Soviet Communists, since then, people would not mind too much if Poland is occupied by the Soviet Union if Poles are portrayed as having a Slavic culture that is inferior and less then human.

Nazi German hatred of Polish people:

As for the German Nazis (and even the Soviets) they then killed off the educated class of Poland first to make their racist stereotype of Poles a reality.

Polish "jokes" were in Hitler's two speeches after he invaded Poland.

Hitler ridiculed Poles in his Sept. 19, 1939 speech in Danzig (today called Gdansk) and in his Berlin speech in Oct. 6, 1939 with these hate-through-humor anti-Polish ?jokes? and references.

Ironically, Left-wing Hollywood and the TV Networks (like NBC-TV) pushed these racist Polish ?jokes? even though they claimed to hate Nazis. Hollywood and NBC-TV evidently hate Nazi propaganda but not when its applied to Poles. Hollywood and Network-TV (NBC) have a deep hatred for Anti-communist, Pro-American, Pro-Catholic Poland.

The recent movie ?Katyn? shows the German Nazis and Soviets killing the educated Polish class in Poland in order to make Poland ?intellectually inferior? and easier to rule. This was during the time Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia were collaborating with each other to destroy Poland as per their Molotov-Ribbentrop pact to destroy Poland together.

Polish jokes did not predate the 20th Century since it was introduced in America by left-wing bigots in Hollywood and TV networks like NBC-TV in the late 1960?s and 1970?s with anti-Polish ?shows? such as ?Laugh In?

Many Polish Americans who lived before this time have reported that they never heard these racist jokes until AFTER they were introduced by Left-Wing networks like NBC-TV in conjunction with Hollywood. NBC-TV launched Polish-bashing shows such as ?Laugh In? which ridiculed Polish people constantly. In addition late night bigots were encouraged to bash Poles with ?jokes? that portrayed the Polish people as having subhuman intelligence. Therefore the power of Television and motion pictures was used to demean Polish people with repetitive big lie type propaganda.

Anti-Polish movies such as ?The End? were some of the earliest movies meant to degrade Poles with racist humor. In addition other anti-Polish shows such as ?All in the Family? were used to degrade the Polish people even though the left-wing producer claimed the ruse that the show was suppose to be ?against bigotry?. ?All in the family? was filled with racist anti-Polish sound bites such as ?Dumb Polak? in an attempt to influence its viewers to have the same anti-Polish prejudice, that the Left-wing producer of the show (Norman Lear) had.

So basically, Polish ?jokes? were part of a Hollywood/TV media hate campaign against Polish people. Hollywood has a long tradition of mocking America and its allies.

Towns as well as villages are in a state of neglect. The roads, with very few exceptions, are badly out of repair and in a terrible condition. Anyone who travels in that country for two or three weeks will get the proper idea of the classical German term 'Polnische Wirtschaft,' meaning a 'Polish state of affairs!'

What Hitler failed to say in his speeches about Poland is that much of the problems Poland had in the early part of the 20th century was because of Poland being destroyed and pushed off the map from 1795-1917 by Germany, Russia and Austria.

Poland was basically licking its wounds and catching its breath in the early part of the 20th Century when it was back on the map.

indeed, everybody is fair game in jokes. every person / race / country / culture has many stereotypes and jokes poke fun at those

if you find a joke offensive instead of funny then you are only capable of, or only choose to, look at it from your point of view; which would make you very narrow minded and you need to realize that your beliefs aren't the not the law, they are not absolute, and they are definitely not the only ones

if you look at a joke from the joke tellers point of view, then you will absolutely 100% find it funny no matter what it is

770KFF guy ... but anyway back to this, for a sec, take me being half European and half arab I laugh at jokes pointed at arabs and I laugh at jokes pointed towards europeans, the world will never all turn good as good would be unbalanced if there were no bad. So you just gotta accept that people will make fun of your nationality ;)

    • There might be some passive design improvements (cooling, etc), but I doubt they'd change the core performance spec of the hardware mid-generation when they've already got a new console in development.
    • State of Decay 3 is out in 2027, reveals Plague Nests with new co-op gameplay trailer by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe A few months ago, Undead Labs broke its silence about the third entry in the State of Decay series since its announcement in 2020. Today, the studio had a brand-new trailer to reveal at the Xbox Games Showcase, finally giving players a look at the Unreal Engine 5-powered title. A broad 2027 release window is now attached to State of Decay 3 too. The studio confirmed that every scene seen in the gameplay trailer (except for the studio logo) released today is from the game with no cinematic footage. "The quality bar of the moment-to-moment experience is higher than anything we’ve achieved in Undead Labs’ history," says the studio. "State of Decay 3 is being built in Unreal Engine 5, and we’re creating better quality versions of what makes our game the survival sandbox it is, and the combat experience is really, really important to us, and I think you can see it coming through in this trailer." One new aspect of this upcoming entry is the Plague Nests. These are supposed to be dynamic, dungeon‑like enemy hubs with varied “personas” that change tactics each time one appears on a map. These areas will have the best loot in the game for players brave enough to tackle them. The combat system is being overhauled too, letting players do quick and power attacks depending on the situation. This isn't just on the player's side though, as zombies themselves now have multiple new types of behaviors depending on how fresh or decayed they are. "All of these play very differently, especially as you start getting outnumbered or when you’re making noise and running around and trying to save your rear end or the rear end of your friend next to you," adds the developer. Of course, settlement building and community management are massive parts of this third entry too. These are being further expanded with the cooperative focus, giving players much more freedom for playing together than in State of Decay 2. Players will even be able to split up and build settlements in different areas of the same map with different goals. Undead Labs confirmed that playtests are already ongoing for the title, and interested players can sign up to participate by heading over here once more slots open up ahead of the full release. State of Decay 3 is coming out on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Game Pass sometime in 2027.
    • Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations expansion gives the Slayer a brutal Chain Spear by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Last year, id Software released Doom: The Dark Ages as a prequel to its reboot series, offering a look at the legendary Slayer character during an ancient war between Hell and Heaven. Today, at the Xbox Games Showcase, id Software returned with a new announcement that unveiled Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations as its first story expansion. The expansion will see the Slayer being betrayed and cast into a "merciless purgatory only escapable by confronting haunting truths." Somehow, there is one ally in all this chaos seemingly attempting to help our protagonist escape his fate. Players will be ascending this prison and fighting plenty of new demons and abominations as they work to free the Slayer's followers. One new aspect of the expansion will be the Chain Spear. This new weapon is described by the studio as a "uniquely satisfying combat system that rewards mastery with a potent combination of power and mobility." Check out the trailer below to see the new weapon in action, where the Slayer is seen using it to even pin enemies to walls. id Software is also preparing a free update to all owners of Doom: The Dark Ages that will land alongside the new paid expansion. Dubbed the Ripatorium 3.0 update, this will add more customization options, an improved pass code generation system, and preset options for players diving into the game's arena challenge mode. Expansion buyers will also receive additional maps, demons, and new weapons to use in this mode in addition to the story levels. Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations expansion is out on July 7 across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 with a $19.99 price tag. Those who own the Premium Edition or the Collector's Bundle will receive the expansion for no extra cost as well.
    • Hyped for this. Replayed the remasters recently and they're so well done, and Crash 4 was great too. I trust this team to deliver.
