Alcohol 120 Spyware

OK this sucks... I have never had any spyware or a virus. I don't run a resident scanner because I never access anything that could infect my system... Until now. I downloaded Alcohol and installed it and got GLOBS of spyware and adware. I couldn't get online and there were all these processes running. I booted into safe mode downloaded Spybot, ran ad-aware and stopped any startup processes that were installed. I think it's about all clean. I don't know how to remove this atom.exe from my msconfig startup menu. I deleted the exe but it is still there. Any spyware removal tips would be nice.

Just a question, where did you download Alcohol from? I'm running the latest version and I have no problems with spyware/adware..

Yes, where did you get Alcohol from? Alcohol has zero spyware/adware in it.

Yep. Alcohol is totally safe. You wouldn't get atom.exe or anything like that from the version downloaded from their site.
