sk79
This happens many times throughout the day. Regardless of the browser, google.com and all google services like gmail, google earth etc stop working. It's not a problem with my ISP and I don't have any problems with any other websites. A friend mentioned it might be DNS poisoning (whatever that is) and suggested I put a couple of lines in my hosts file, but this too hasn't worked. Am I the only one and any ideas how to resolve this?
accesser
Google is working fine for me I have not noticed any issues with them in ages yeah you can edit your hosts file but I?d recommend you let DNS do its thing. Have you tried ?ipconfig /flushdns? I?m also wondering if you might be having an issue with a caching proxy server between you and google, are you using a proxy in your IE setting. And do you know if your ISP uses a transparent proxy that might be caching. Good luck Cheers EDIT: It may also be a link somewhere on the internet. Here in Australia we have a site called Whirlpoolwhere people hang out and talk about there ISP?s and stuff, a while ago my ISP had a bunch of people with issues like yours, it turned out to be one of the bandwidth providers my ISP uses was dropping out randomly. Next time is happens try running tracert or something like that. /EDIT
