matt74441
I just bought a new external DVD burner which is 100% Linux compatible, but I'm having some issues finding some software to burn DVDs. I've tried the usual ones like the nautilus one, gnomebaker, xcdroast and even Nero, but they all refuse to burn a DVD (I can burn a CDR no problem on the external). I'm getting the feeling that I'm missing a library or something. Preferably something that I can just emerge would be fantastic :D

NullPointerException
emerge dvd+rw-tools. This should do the trick. It is also compiled if you emerge k3b if i remember correct.
[idkfa]
Add dvdr to your USE flags and do a nice 'emerge -u world --deep --newuse', which will rebuild all necessary packages to support your dvd writer.
SaguratuS
As of 12.1, the dvdr use flag appears to be broken, you'll get support for your dvdr drive either way :)
