yea mine runs perfectly, i was just asking if it was normal for the REcomended req's to be diffrent depending on the vid card

Yea, mine says recommended cpu as 2.9Ghz.  I have a 2.53Ghz CPU.  Should be fine.  Half-Life 2 runs fine on mine with the highest settings.

is it just me, but seing alot of people's pic of sys req, i didnt have that high mine rec's said 2.2ghz while im seing people showing 2.9

is it somethign to do with the fact that i have x800 and alot of the 2.9ghz  im seing have a Geforce thus making the system spec's higher

I have a Geforce 6800GT and Steam is telling me I need a 2.2Ghz CPU.

It's very cool, but very short, but then they had to do a hell of a lot of work with the engine, will be interesting to see Aftermath if it supports HDR.

As for the 2.9/2.2 thing, would have thought it's just looking for an Intel/AMD processor, and changing it accordingly

It amazing... but too short. HDR is really cool but sometimes it gets annoying to exit a hallway and get blinded by the sun. I guess thats part of what it makes it realistic. Y'all have to pick up the harpoon (with the gravity gun) that the fisherman leaves at the gate. Its better then the saw blades.

ohh yea.... i was stuck in the church for around 10 mins trying to figure out what to do. LMAO!! good old tin bath

I just stuck one of the metal doors back in the thing.

You know, the ones you just ripped off to see the inside of the big cannon.

Anyway...

Had to drop the quality setting a bit, my FX5600 was having a total fit at the default settings!

CPU and RAM ok, looks like i'm gonna need a new GFX card.

Just played it. Took me a good half hour on hard. Looked pretty nice i guess, suprised my 9800 pro could handle it so well :)

Not as good as I thought, it has been a while since iv'e played hl2 and maybe im just used to current games gfx now but to me it just looked like HL2 with way more bloom affects. I didn't like how the bloom intensified when you looked at it after looking at a darker area first.

I know it's trying to be like human eyes but it was way over done and just seemed wierd imo.

Still, for an oldish game HL2 still looks damn fine, especially the water and character models.

btw Is everyone getting the standing corpses on reload? Seems like a super obvious bug to slip through.

wtf this tech demo is like 3 minutes.

i heard people mention second helicopter?  theres only 1...isnt there?

3 minutes? I know you've exagerated, but what a waste.

Do you people just run through games without looking at anything? I spent about 20 minutes just playing on the rocks. I took about an hour playing through this.

Lanky, I get that scarecrow dead soldier bug. vvvv

    • Apple reluctantly forces strict new age checks on Texas users starting today by Paul Hill Apple will begin enforcing the Texas Age Assurance Law (SB 2420) following a recent court ruling that lifted an injunction on SB 2420. Starting June 4 (today), Apple will enforce strict age-verification and parental-consent rules for new Apple accounts created in Texas. This move will affect children under 18 who go to download apps or attempt to make in-app purchases. Apple previously expressed privacy concerns related to this law, but compliance is now mandatory for the company, nevertheless. Apple will use several APIs to follow the law. Principally, the Declared Age Range API will fetch the specific user age bracket (Under 13, 13-15, 16-17, or 18+) and a verification method. The Significant Change API (PermissionKit) will trigger a system dialog for parental consent if an app gets a major update or an age-rating shift. There is also a new property type in StoreKit that allows developers to automatically check when their app’s age rating has changed on a user’s device and then use the Significant Change API to request parental consent. Finally, App Store Server Notifications can be configured to tell developers when a parent revokes consent, blocking app launches. To ensure they are ready for these changes, developers must immediately use Apple’s sandbox testing environment to validate these APIs in their apps. For any developers out there finding this to be inconvenient, get used to it. Other regions, such as Utah, Louisiana, and Brazil, are looking at, or have implemented, similar rules.
    • They should show the onedrive recycle bin in a searchable manner and on app not just on the website
