My understanding is that when you load a game all of the dead soldiers turn into their default pose, rather than remaining a ragdoll. I haven't tested it, but it makes sense to me.

It happened after about 30 seconds. I didn't save+load, but I didn't actually _see_ them turn into scarecrows though.

:angry: Every time I play, I get about 10-20 minutes into the game and it just disappears without warning or reason (at least none that I can tell). Hopefully this'll get fixed in future updates!

It wasn't bad at all, and I can't believe it ran as well as it did on my 9700 Pro @ 1680x1050...nevertheless, it's still time for me to finally upgrade. I was just hoping with the time it took to release that there'd be more to it

I know my computer displays my cpu speed wrong cause of powernow but seriously steam says in lost coast demo HDR not supported but I have a 9700 card and 2.0GHz CPU not 0.8GHZ  :angry:  :angry:

Thats waird. I have a 9700 Pro and a CPU overclocked to 2.9 GHZ and it didn't complain about anything :blink:

Ummm ... Maybe I'm wrong but your card won't support HDR.  HDR is a SM 3.0 feature.  In fact, I don't think that the X800 series has the ability to do this either.  So performance shouldn't have been much (if any) different than HL2.

Nope. HDR can also work on SM 2.0, it is due to farcry's engine that it only displays on SM 2.0 cards

Strange that should handle it with ease :blink: my system with a p4 overclocked to 2.9 GHZ, Radeon 9700 pro, and 1GB ddr memory handled the demo perfectly
