Allan
Since people are always asking "what is my routher's IP address?" at my work, I've found that it's nice to have ONE SPOT to check. So hopefully a mod can stick this to the top and everyone can use it. I'll also include default password/username. I removed it from CODE tags, and put in an XLS - it is "READ ONLY" with a password, so only I can adjust it ... the file is located here and if I've missed any, please let me know, and I'll add it as soon as possible. - Allan Edited June 21, 2006 by Allan Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/395772-definitive-router-ip-address-thread/ Share on other sites
lnmnky
What about bridges / access points etc... Linksys WET54 is a wireless bridge and default it's 192.168.1.226 Dunno about default username, I think there's no username (blank), but the password is "admin" or "password"....:s I'm sure Netgear don't have the password "123" on everything, my wgr614 was either "admin" or "password" as the password. Allan
when I searched "GOOGLE" for 'netgear IP address' I got that info from a networking site. If someone can let me know? I'll change that list. Also, I never thought about access points. I'll do a seperate 'code' for that later. I've gotta go to work as I am 'emergancy call in' now :( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/395772-definitive-router-ip-address-thread/#findComment-586787577 Share on other sites

I've never done it though, although it'd probably make someone money sometime though. If you're not smart enough to secure your wireless, then you don't need it. moglenstar
for SMC Barricade routers, the ip address depends on the first 3 parts of your network ip eg. 192.168.123.x and then the final part, is whatever you set for it.. for mine, its 254 x.x.x.254 so the router ip is 192.168.123.254 im sure its different for other people, and once you access it for the first time, the default password is "admin" with no login Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/395772-definitive-router-ip-address-thread/#findComment-586788882 Share on other sites

+BudMan MVC Posted February 29, 2008 MVC Share Posted February 29, 2008 hehehe yah think ;) I would say its a given, since this thread is over 2 years old.. An the couple of posts that gave any info about their routers was crap like this; "my D-Link DSL-G604T's (Modem+Router) ip address is 10.1.1.1" Guess they were confused to what the term "default" actually meant ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/395772-definitive-router-ip-address-thread/#findComment-589241473 Share on other sites
