NiceCarpet
^I know allot of NZ ISPs give out D-Link routers that have custom firmware on them (Points to Xtra), with default IP set to 10.1.1.1 (was helping a friend with a G604T the other day with this) it's quite annoying. Athlonite
10.1.1.1 ? Yeah thats going to help lots of people ;)ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Broadband/dslg604t/Ma...al_07072005.zip So we will have UNKNOWN and INVALID info in this spreadsheet.. ;) Actually if he comes from New Zealand and got his d-link through Telecom NZ then 10.1.1.1 is correct as it uses a telecom NZ butchered firmware to get it to work here on the dslams they have as for my own Dynalink RTA1320 it's 192.168.1.1 and default USN/PSW is admin/admin Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/395772-definitive-router-ip-address-thread/page/2/#findComment-589242439 Share on other sites
+BudMan MVC Posted March 1, 2008 MVC Share Posted March 1, 2008 Do we really have to go over the term "default" ?? "allot of NZ ISPs give out D-Link routers that have custom firmware" "uses a telecom NZ butchered firmware" It may well be that 10.1.1.1 is setup on the gateway device given out by a specific ISP, that is not the default IP of that device. That is an IP that was set by the ISP on the device. If building a database of default ips an passwords, yes you very well would want that info. But you would need to spellout EXACTLY which ISP you got the device from to be worth anything. Or you run into people using the "default" device direct from maker going WTF are they talking about! The IP is 192.168.1.1, etc.. ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/395772-definitive-router-ip-address-thread/page/2/#findComment-589242490 Share on other sites
Quillz
I have a D-Link DIR-655 Wireless N router. By default, its IP is 192.168.0.1 and the user/pass combo is "Admin" with no password.
