[WWE] Eddie Guerrero Dies

Recommended Posts

It's been a couple of years since I watched WWE (what with full time jobs and no TV at university) but I remember watching him win the title at Wrestlemania and all the good times in WCW and early WWE career. I remember laughing so hard at some of the things he did (as mentioned, the chair shots and then lying down pretending to have been hit by a chair). Though I do not watch any more, I am sure he will be missed and this is really saddening. RIP.

I've heard something about it in the news today while I was coming from work, but I thought they said that his father or some relative died. Sad, very sad to the loss of a great wrestler and entertainer. Descanse en Paz Eduardo Guerrero..... :(

I haven't been able to post until now due to my connection being non-existent pretty much since we got power back on the 2nd. Needless to say as a wrestling fan, I am devastated from this loss. Eddie was not only a terrific wrestler, in fact he was one of the best in the world, but he was also a terrific performer, actor and most importantly he was just a great guy. Sure he had his issues in the past, but he cleaned himself up, got his life on track and has been in a great place for 4 years. Now he has been taken from us way to soon. I met him several times, and he was a real gentlemen to everyone he talked to. Never pushy, full of himself or meanspirited like some wrestlers get sometimes.

I just wanted to mention, RAW and Smackdown this week are both having tribute shows for him, no storylines or stupid crap this week, just some matches between wrestlers and the reactions to Eddie's passing. Chris Benoit breaking down is going to be tough to watch.

A couple of links, one is a massive amount of fan emails sent to wrestlezone.com about Eddie. Some of which made me tear up.

There's a couple more pages they posted up, but I can hardly load one page at the moment.

Please read the bottom part of that, about a radio show called "The Herd With Colin Cowherd". I won't even give what they said a response, but ask if you loved Eddie, and love wrestling as much as I do, email or write or call this "show" and ESPN also and tell them how you feel (please don't be nasty about it).

RIP Eddie, you truly were latino heat.

Well that was probably one of the most emotional shows I've ever seen. As I figured, watching Chris Beniot breakdown was really hard to watch. Kurt Angle practically hysterical was hard to watch. All the wrestlers saying their piece was nice, as were the matches. Rey Mysterio and Chavo, man what can you say. Even Triple H who I'm sure most of you know, I don't really like all that much anymore, he spoke from the heart. Steph, I thought she was going to just walk off for a second there.

But, Cena putting the Eddie shirt on the mat, and placing the world championship on top. That got me.

Yup... that moment just hit the spot... I was surprised the crowd wasn't chanting Eddie (at the end), i know i was...

May he R.I.P., a great athlete, entertainer, and individual.

Yup, that was quite a touching show from start to finish. I can only imainge how the Smackdown Tribute Show is going to be.

Once again, R.I.P Eddie

Agreed 110%. Damn good show tonite, and he will be sorely missed. There will also be a special on tomorrow night @ 9PMEST on MSNBC. I'm sure if you watched tonights show you caught that tho.

That was the moment that set me off, i'm a pretty emotional person as it is but seeing that just made me feel what some of the Wrestlers are feeling (i'm not saying that i feel as if i was close to Eddie).

I Don't think i'll be able to watch this weeks Smackdown without sheding (sp?) more tears. I Never thought i'd be so emotional over the death of a wrestler...

RIP Eddie, you will be missed by all.

"cause when you step in the ring with eddie guerrero, you know it's gonna be high flying, and EXciting ! " - i remember that line from a WCW game for the PSone AGES ago.

sad that he's gone.

i hope whatever he's doing in heaven is high flying, and EXciting. haha! RIP eddie guerrero.

That was one of the most memorable RAW's to date. Like most of you, watching the ending with Cena got to me.

I noticed though, that it looked like they tried to end coverage earlier...but didnt pull the plug until after the shirt was placed on the mat with the belt. Anyone else see this? It looked completely impromptu.

I noticed that in the end as well, but I thought that this show was recorded yesterday as a supershow with both Raw and Smackdown combined . I was watching the time and it still ended at its regular time...

RAW and Smackdown were both taped Sunday night at the supershow they did in the Target Center (I think that's where they were) which is why RAW and Smackdown stars are going to be on both shows in tribute to Eddie. USA may have prematurely ran the WWE logo, but RAW wasn't over as you saw. They didn't fade to black until the proper time. Being it wasn't live, they probably just had itchy trigger fingers and weren't sure when it was supposed to end. But it wasn't WWE trust me.

you beat me to it but yea im going to miss him :(

Raw tonight was really hard to watch that's for sure... at the begining watching guys like Chavo, Benoit, Angle, Big Show, and even Triple H and the video tribute after the ten bell salute. Then seeing the speeches that the wrestlers did... Batista's and Chris Benoit's really made me tear up actually. Smackdown! is sure to be emotional too. Eddie Guerrero was a great performer be it in the ring or on the mic watching him wrestle always made me smile. Eddie Guerrero may you rest in peace... you will be greatly missed.

    • OpenAI is now rolling out Lockdown Mode to more ChatGPT users by Pradeep Viswanathan Back in February, OpenAI first announced Lockdown Mode for users who want the most comprehensive protection from potential attacks. At the time of the announcement, the company mentioned that this feature was available to a small set of highly security-conscious users, including executives or security teams at leading organizations. Today, OpenAI announced that Lockdown Mode is now rolling out to all personal ChatGPT accounts, including Free, Go, Plus, and Pro, and also self-serve ChatGPT Business accounts. Users can enable the feature from ChatGPT Settings > Security when it is available for their account. When Lockdown Mode is enabled, ChatGPT limits or disables several features that connect to the web or external services. These include live web browsing, Deep Research, Agent Mode, and more. Here is the complete list of services that will be disabled in Lockdown Mode: Live web browsing: Web browsing is limited to accessing only cached content. Search results may be limited, unavailable, or stale. Image support: ChatGPT may not display images in regular responses or retrieve images from the web. Users can still upload image files, and image generation remains available where it is otherwise available. Deep research: Deep research is disabled. Agent mode: Agent mode is disabled. Canvas networking: Users cannot approve Canvas-generated code to access the network. File downloads: ChatGPT cannot download files for data analysis. ChatGPT can still operate on your manually uploaded files. It is important to note that Lockdown Mode does not completely block prompt injections from appearing in content that ChatGPT processes. For example, a malicious instruction could still be present in an uploaded file or cached web content. However, the mode is designed to reduce the ways such an attack could send sensitive information outside the conversation. Along with Lockdown Mode, OpenAI today also announced that the Active sessions feature is now available across ChatGPT accounts and workspace types. This feature allows users to review where their account is signed in across devices and end sessions if required. A session will have the following information displayed: Device or browser information. First-party app context, such as ChatGPT, Codex, or API Platform. Approximate location. Sign-in date and time. Whether the device is a trusted device. Whether it is your current session. OpenAI highlighted that the Active sessions feature will not be available for accounts linked to an organization’s single sign-on setup, including SAML or OIDC.
