I believe that the fonts aren't bugs.

Because from deviantART where the file is hosted, Bant said that the El3ment font is Calibri. Therefore if you do not have it, it'll default to an ugly font.

Calibri by the way is the new Microsoft Vista font that was leaked. (Wow, no surprize there, haha.)

For everyone having problems with HUGE FONTS and also, Normal Fonts being big and Large Fonts being smaller.

The fix is that you need to install the Calibri font. This should fix the problems. It did for me.

The not so simple part is that Calibri is only available with Vista and not freely available on the Internet. Unless you know how ;)

Excellent work bant. Hats off. I love how it works and flows within all the applications I use too. It's hard to make it work for them all, but this one does. Nice work. Thanks for taking the time to make this one.

Wow, 1000 posts. Never thought that would happen.

I got the font, however my iTunes icon shortcut on the desktop shows "iTun..." argh. Happens with some programs like "My Torre..." argh

Why is this happening to some of the program shortcuts only? Is the Calibri font I've corrupted? How do I go about fixing this?

I'd attach it here, but I'm sure some wanna-be mod would come along sputtering about copyrights and warez, start linking to the rules then report me so some real mod could come along, scold me via PM, up my warning level, clean the thread, grandiosely post that they've cleaned the thread and more associated condescending jibberish, and then everyone would be sad.

So, I won't.

Btw, beautiful work bant. I'd dare say a drastic improvement over the original element.

    • You're right that it does not follow the plain meaning of the word, but in this context, it is a legal term defined in 49 U.S.C. Kind of how "wire fraud" laws apply even if a physical wire was not used. Given that it is codified in law, and it isn't just automotive journalists that don't understand evolving technology, I highly doubt congress would change a well understood term just because technology makes the term slightly less actuate.
    • This is exactly why I keep saying we are not ready for human free self-driving. These little "bugs" are may seem like random one-offs. There was also the Waymo that drove between police with drawn weapons and the suspect they were pointing them at. From a software perspective it is easy to understand how those extremely rare situations may not have been programed for, but that is the point. If AI needs to be told to watch out for every possible contingency, then it can never be successful. There will always be the possibility of a first encounter that the AI needs to understand to avoid.

    • Recycle Bin has been broken for literal YEARS now. The setting to delete files older than 30 days from the bin which is on by default doesn't even work. I have files older than 4 months in it and they are just there still...
