oooh whatever, driving and looking down to change your radio station is also a possibility to kill yourself. Im not saying its OK or a good thing to do but to go that far is just dumb. you run a risk driving at all. like you can trust everyone else on the road.

If your eating, talking on a cell phone, changing the radio, or sliding your car like jeff gordon, then your not driving the car and putting others at risk. Just think.

ummm... Jeff Gordan doesn't drift....

anyways, i'd like to see a vid or something of the drift!

A woman rear-ended my car this morning on the way to School. This just goes to show that even if I drive courteously and carefully and follow all the rules of the road I can still get screwed over. At least I only have to replace the rear bumper of my car, the other car got completely ****ed.

I would say that is what you call Karma.

I dunno if anyone has mentioned this yet, nor do I know if it applies in Mexico...

My brother was arrested for street racing before. One of the things he was charged for was 'wreckless driving'. Drifting across the intersection like you said you did, I believe you could be charged with the same thing. As I said already though, I don't know if this also applies in Mexico.

right, so because the road is "clear" you feel its fine to drift your car?

Drifiting isnt a sport, nor a good thing to do.

All you are doing is putting others at risk, i would say your self, but i really dont care for you as you practise such stupid games.

What if something distracted you, you loose control and hurt your self?

I dont know what has happened to our world, where people think its COOL to "drift" on public roads. At least the sensable people do it on a track with the correct equipment.

Although, drifting is "advanced" driving, i often see Schumacher drifting around corners to shave a few miliseconds from his lap times. right, so because the road is "clear" you feel its fine to drift your car?

I hope it teaches you a lesson and you dont do it again, at least on public roads.

For one why did you make this thread. Did you expect everyone to go 'Oh duuuuuude your super fly in your beemer doing drifts' Well I aint one of them, you should be ****ing careful on the road and I don't care if it was a big road or a small road with no cars in sight it's still not the right thing to do.

You may be a good driver and whatever, but on the road trying to show boat is just pathetic.

Whoah. I appreciate that some people think what he did and probably still does is stupid but seriously...lighten up.

I for one think that drifting is decent, it requires alot of skill and I think it's prometheus (sorry if I got yourname wrong) that drifts quite alot and it looks amazing.

So he did it on a public road. Who cares? If the roads empty it doesn't matter, just like if a motorways empty alot of you would zip up to over 100MPH without batting an eyelid. I see no difference, except what this guy/kid is doing takes at least some skill.

you guys replying bashing him are the idiots, have some sense, do you think he's purposely trying to endager people, he said it himself that he had tons of room and I believe he wouldn't do it if he saw school kids walking on the sidewalk, I drift sometimes also when I make turns but I only do it when there are no pedestrians around, if there were cars I could care less since my car doesn't have enough power to make me lose control and crash. Anyways you guys do need to lighten up, there are different types of drivers and you can't classify all of them under one group just because they do something you don't approve of, many might be actually skilled in what they do, trust me driving isn't that hard... unless you're a complete idiot like the lady that hit huezo in the back

Good :D

Btw how is drifting on a public road being 'careful'?

586864104

This morning I was driving carefully, I wasn't drifting at the time.

May I ask why you think its "good" that I got hit? My drifting and this morning's accident were two completely separate incidents. I don't see how anyone could relate them.

Drifting is for women who can't control their cars.

But because you can't prove that you had control of your car (and he can, for all intents and purposes, prove that you didn't), he could have arrested you for reckless driving (misdemeanor) or reckless endangerment (felony).

But yes, drifting is for women who can't control their cars.

586859695

no, women who cant control their cars dont drift... they spin out and crash into things. not to say people who drift dont do that as well, but the reason they get into the sliding situation is because they know what they are doing in the first place and those that launch into a spin, dont. This can apply to people of both genders.

the "women who can't control their cars" might take offence at this remark...

herbieprea3.jpg

I'm sure danica patrick would. not only is she slammin, but shes an indie racer. keep up that mentality and see if you ever bag a decent chick. sorry, im very anti feminism, but i wouldnt go throwing around insults towards women.

Oh, almost forgot... Huezo, you are the reason young drivers get a bad rap. sure, i remember being your age as it wasnt that long ago, and i remember doing stupid ****, but i didn't run around bragging about it on internet forums. ive had my astro van sideways more times than you've changed underwear in your life but i dont talk about it on these forums. you seem to be a glory hog. your bragging about excessive speeding and your bmw makes you seem very arrogant... the total opposite of the kind of person i would associate myself with. If you wanna tell the world what you're doing, thats fine, but you need to totally expect everyone to flame the hell out of you because it is stupid and arrogant.

How did I deserve it? They were two unrelated events.

586864129

You don't get it. You really don't get it.

You deserve it. I point and laugh at you.

Gawd, I hope your Mac wasn't in the trunk of the Bimmer!

As childish as it sounds I think the word "pwned" comes to mind.

This morning I was driving carefully, I wasn't drifting at the time.

I'm not even going to bother explaining... If you had a reasonable level of intelligence you could work it out for yourself.

Why are we idiots for having our own opinion? If we are idiots then so are you as you have your own opinion.

586864538

That is my opinion that you guys are idiots, if you're goin to bash him on something like that when it seems clear to me he had total control of the situation and knew what he was doing.

    • Meta announces a major leadership change at WhatsApp by Pradeep Viswanathan Meta has announced a major leadership change at WhatsApp, with Will Cathcart stepping down after seven years of leading the world's largest messaging platform. CRED CEO and founder Kunal Shah will take over as the next global head of WhatsApp. CRED is an Indian fintech company focused on creditworthy consumers. As part of the transition, Meta is also making a minority investment in CRED through its Series H funding round. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Will Cathcart will remain at Meta and move into a new role focused on building new products from the ground up. Cathcart led WhatsApp during a major growth phase, helping the app reach more than 3 billion users worldwide. He also played a key role in expanding WhatsApp’s business offerings while keeping privacy and end-to-end encryption central to the product. Meta’s Chief Product Officer, Chris Cox, said Kunal Shah was selected after a search for a leader who understands WhatsApp’s global scale and future potential. In a leaked internal memo, Cox described Shah as a “serial founder” and one of India’s most respected entrepreneurs, adding that he brings “entrepreneurial energy” and a strong product mindset to the role. As part of the Series H funding round, CRED is raising ₹8,550 crore, or about $900 million, in a round led by Meta. The funding values CRED at ₹43,239 crore, or about $4.5 billion, on a post-money basis. It is important to note that this investment will not give Meta access to CRED customer information. Kunal posted the following on X regarding his new role at Meta: Although Kunal Shah will be stepping away from his operating role as CRED CEO, he will retain his personal shareholding in the company.
    • It wouldn't be hard for me to turn off my TV, if I had one. For one thing, I never scroll Instagram. The only reason I have an account is because Meta created one when it merged the account systems for its various services.
    • OpenAI's new GPT-5.5-Cyber tops Claude Mythos 5 in vulnerability benchmark by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI today announced a major expansion of Daybreak, a cybersecurity initiative designed to help defenders find, validate, and fix software vulnerabilities earlier in the development process. The availability of powerful AI models has definitely changed the cybersecurity landscape by making vulnerability discovery much faster. However, the bigger bottleneck for the industry is now patching those vulnerabilities. Impacted software teams need to validate the discovered issues, understand their impact, develop fixes, test them, and deploy patches. Back in March, OpenAI launched a preview of Codex Security, which uses agentic reasoning with automated validation to discover high-impact issues and actionable fixes specific to the codebase. Since then, it has scanned more than 30 million commits across over 30,000 codebases; more than 70,000 findings were marked as fixed by human reviewers, while over 500,000 findings were automatically determined to be fixed. Now, OpenAI is releasing an updated Codex Security plugin that can run deep scans, review recent code changes, generate security reports, trace attack paths, validate findings, and create codebase-specific patches for human review. It can also triage findings from existing scanners, advisories, bug bounty reports, and ticketing systems. OpenAI says the plugin can export results to vulnerability management systems and integrate with workflows using SARIF files, CodeQL queries, the Codex CLI, and the Codex app. Back in May, OpenAI announced the preview of GPT-5.5-Cyber, a new model built on top of the recently released GPT-5.5, designed for specialized cybersecurity work. Today, OpenAI launched the full version of GPT-5.5-Cyber through a limited release for verified defenders. On CyberGym, GPT-5.5-Cyber scored 85.6%, compared with 81.8% for GPT-5.5 and 83.8% for Claude Mythos 5. It also scored 39.5% on ExploitGym, compared with 25.95% for GPT-5.5, and 69.8% on SEC-bench Pro, compared with 63.1%. OpenAI also announced the new Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, which will allow security vendors and service providers to use GPT-5.5 with Trusted Access for Cyber in their products and services. Accenture, Akamai, Cisco, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, SentinelOne, Wiz, Zscaler, and others were listed as initial partners for this program. OpenAI is also launching Patch the Planet with Trail of Bits, HackerOne, Calif, researchers, and maintainers. More than 30 open-source projects have committed to participate, including cURL, Go, Python, Sigstore, and pyca/cryptography.
    • AMD confirms 26.6.2 FSR driver breaks on many Windows PCs by Sayan Sen Earlier today AMD released a major graphics driver update as it brings support for FSR 4.1 to Radeon RX 7000 series GPUs. The new update, version 26.6.2, also brings support for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and more. And while the driver technically supports Windows 10 version 21H2 and newer, the tech giant has confirmed that there is a major issue with the new driver on non-Windows 11 PCs as it fails to launch properly on such systems. The error message says, "The version of AMD Software that you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver." Therefore on the surface it looks like a compatibility problem. AMD has also confirmed that the device manager will display the yellow bang or yellow exclamation sign alongside your GPU under the Display adapters dropdown. Here is what the Radeon team's official advisory recommends to affected users: "Users Running Windows 10 and AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2 May Encounter Yellow Bang in Device Manager Affecting AMD Radeon RX Series Graphics ... Our Engineers are currently investigating this issue and will provide a fix once it is available. Affected users may revert to AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.1 as a temporary workaround." As such you should revert back to the previous 26.6.1 driver which was released earlier this month. In case you were looking to play Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations you will probably have to wait a while if you want the driver to support those games officially. You can find the support article here on Microsoft's website.
