Sony spreading Anti Xbox360 rumours?

One thing I know is that my X360 overheated and I haven't received no check from SONY, so I guess this is all Microsoft's doing to cover up the faulty X360's.

er... or not, maybe your console was actually faulty. Doesn't mean in anyway that this isnt true about sony.

I seriously doubt the authenticity of that information. I'd like to see this evidence they claim to have. Also, the FACT is that a large portion of the XBOX360 units were faulty. I think, too, that this is Micorosft trying to distract attention from the fact that the units are faulty, and turn it into an anti-Sony publicity campaign. It wouldn't be the first time anyone'd done that, either.

The 360 launch was a flop - supply was low, the launch titles poor, and the units faulty. Now Microsoft want to tell people the problem isn't that bad - its just been inflated by the evil Sony corp., so don't lose trust in the 360!

Sounds an awful lot like Sony's being used as a scapegoat... but then, we know Microsoft doesn't care about good business practices. They've done a lot worse.

What are you talking about? The American laucnh was successful with rising demand and you have yet to see Europe and Japan although we all know Japan will fail.

The launch titles were better than most PS2/PS1 launch titles anyway and there are more coming before christmas, that's very short from launch so what does it matter if it's few weeks to ensure better games?

Most of the overheating problems are apparently the power supplies overheating, usually by being placed on carpets... still, it seem ridiculous that that got through product testing.

It's interesting that you turn around a report saying that Sony is playing dirty to Microsoft playing dirty without any evidence... perhaps it's Sony pretending it's Microsoft pretending that Sony is making false accusations?

Nothing too unusual. Did any of you guys see the news story on "stealth marketing" a few years back? It's apparently pretty common for big companies to employ this tactic (most through a dummy company so its harder to track).

[stealth marketing pays people to hype or demean products on "new" media, such as forums, chat rooms, blogs etc. under the pretense of being "like you']
