eo83 Posted July 28, 2002 Share Posted July 28, 2002 the main computer has 1 eternet card and so does the other computer, now i have this linksys router but for some reason when it goes through the reading pc configurations i get this error "unable to connect to router please check the router has been connected to the pc or rest the router to factory defualt by pressing the resset button for 10 secs". now i checked everything and reseted the router but i still get the same thing.. can someone help me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DrunkenMaster Posted July 28, 2002 Share Posted July 28, 2002 Only thing that comes to mind is this: Set up one of the computers like this: IP 192.168.1.5 Gateway 192.168.1.1 Subnet 255.255.255.0 Make sure you are not connecting the PC to the WAN port. Connect to the Linksys with your browser http://192.168.1.1 It should show up. The user name is blank and the password is usually admin or password check the manual about that.
