elderecg
I'm considering setting up a wirless network between my apt & a friends, I'm wondering if this is going to work. Planning on using a Netgear MR314. According to the Netgear website it has an outside range of 1650 ft (503 m) & an indoor range of 500 ft (152 m) at 1Mpbs. The 1Mbps isn't going to be an issue, it's just going to be used for web browsing. To give you an idea of the setup, I'll post an img too. The pc I want using the connection is in another apt building, which is at most 500ft away. But it is a different apt building, not sure how it's going to effect the signal which would be originating from my apt, going outside, then into another apt. Has anyone tried something like this? Are there any issues that I should be aware of when trying to set this up? Any comments/suggestions would be helpful. I will post an image when I can get a better host
Geronimo
I too lazy to look for the details, but make sure you can setup the two access points to bridge. I have done this with linksys ap before. works nicely.
