With the power of an upgraded forum system, I have expanded version 2.0 of the the All Time Gaming Platform poll to include a couple of new options and three different areas of choice!

I have made modifications to the poll options, and removed the Commodore 64 and Atari Jaguar as they were not popular options on the last poll. I was tempted to remove the Game Boy line from the poll considering it had less than ten votes on the previous poll, but it's a big item in the portable world.

Once again, vote away!

ps3/ps2/psone

btw im not a fanboy I just like whats good, and if you ask me, the Personal computer shouldn't be in the poll. I would have voted for atari jaguar if it would have been in the poll that system was awsome, way ahead of its time.

There were only a few votes on that last time. Not going to happen. And PC is a gaming platform, so it stays.

how can you pick next generation when only Xbox360 and PC are the only items out right now?

It's called your "personal opinion" :p

Blasphemy!

I can't choose between Sega Saturn and Nintendo Game Boy (Original/Classic). :pinch:

Why is Sega Saturn and Sega Genesis in the same option? Saturn was a piece of crap but Genesis is my absolute favorite all time system, and I think lots of people would agree... If you put the NES and SNES in different fields, Sega stuff should be separate... Atleast Sega Genesis / CD / 32X, and Sega Saturn separate :(

i say the poll needs to be redone. snes and genesis shouldnt be in the same category as ps, sega saturn, and n64. divide it by actual generations of technology versus 1985-2000, 2001-2004, and 2005+.

snes, pc, n/a.

Don't you think I would had if I had the option? The forum allows three questions and ten answers per question.

I know, I just felt the need to voice my opinion, :D I understand that I am out numbered here. But damn it, my opinion is always right :shifty:

Seriously, if anyone actually seriously votes for the Xbox as an all time best gaming platform, either it was your first and only gaming system or well ... hell I dunno lol. I feel sorry for you though.

Easily the Playstation 1. Such classics like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, Final Fantasy VII, Star Ocean: The 2nd Story, Parappa the Rapper, Twisted Metal 2, Tekken 3, Suikoden, FF Collection, Valkrie Profile, Final Fantasy Tactics, Gran Turismo 2, Collin Mcrally, Die Hard Trilogy, Time Crisis 2, Armored Core, Colony Wars, Breath of Fire III, Bushido Blade, Tobal #1, Super Puzzle Fighter, Resident Evil II, Tomb Raider ( it used to be good! real freakin good ), Die Hard Trilogy, Driver, Dragon Quest VII, Einhander, Jet Moto I - II, Legend of Dragoon, Grandia, Lunar: Silver Star Story, MDK, Medal of Honor, Metal Gear Solid, OddWorld Oddysee and Exodus, Ogre Battle, Rally Cross, RayStorm, RC Chopper, Return Fire, Ridge Racer Type 4, R-Type Delta, Soul Blade, Syphon Filter, Syndicate Wars, Vandal Hearts, Worms: Armageddon, etc.

The list of just amazing games on the Playstation and incredibly long and varied. From numerous dozens of franchise starters to games that brought another franchise in and helped it take off to a new level. Nothing in my long history of gaming quite compared to the trully MASSIVE number of insanely good games on the Playstation.

Next gen I like Revolution, I think the controller is actually taking a step towards more realistic games without focusing on pure graphics.

Currently I prefer the PC, I have an Xbox with three games, PGR2, Madden, and ESPN2k5, and while I only got it last year (for $20 since the kid thought it was broken, though it does work...most of the time :p) I do play it a lot. The Xbox is great for short 15-20 minute sessions of PGR2 or a quick game of Madden, but for extended periods PC Gaming is where its at for me (Read WCIII/CS:S/HL2).

The previous gen was the toughest decision. There were three contenders, NES, Genesis, and N64. I voted N64 because I felt the games had that perfect level of complexity and the 3D worlds really brought a whole new level of gaming enjoyment for me. It was close though Genesis had classics like Sonic 2 which must have wasted like 1/6 of my life, and NES was great, I remember playing games of Mario, Mario 3, Duckhunt when I was 5 with my dad. I guess I gave N64 the benefit of the doubt because I figured the other 2 would be more nostalgia picks, and I have only played one console game since Mario 64 that comes close to its quality and that is God of War (and yes I have played Halo/Halo2, and yes they sucked compared to both GOW and Mario 64).

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Clean, irreversible, and fully offline. Comments, Links & Bookmarks Add comments for review, insert clickable links, and create bookmarks to jump around long documents without scrolling forever. Find & Replace Search across the whole document and replace text in one go. Long overdue. Split Pages Vertically or Horizontally Split any page down the middle, vertically or horizontally. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. PDF Metadata Editor View and edit the metadata stored inside your PDFs, including title, author, subject, and keywords. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. Tabbed PDF Viewer Open multiple PDFs at once in tabs and switch between them without going back to the home screen. Add Links Insert hyperlinks anywhere in your PDF, to external URLs or to other pages within the document. Share & Print Shortcuts Share or print directly from the editing screen, home screen, and viewer. No extra steps. Minor Updates Paste images directly from clipboard into your PDF New image editing tools for more control over images inside documents Bug Fixes Fixed file saving issues on Windows and Linux Everything still works fully offline. No login, no cloud, no account. Your files stay on your device.
