GameMaster90
I've been looking for some quality, but cheap in-the-ear style headphones for quite some time now, and I have narrowed it down to these three choices. Which is the better buy, and why? In your opinion... Galley
I've got the white 71's and they sound awesome. :woot: Please note that the 71's have a short cord, designed to plug into a remote, (along with an extension cord), but the 51's should have a regular length cord. Check out the customer photos. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/413955-best-canalphones/#findComment-586987917 Share on other sites
MonkeyClaw Veteran Posted December 29, 2005 Veteran Share Posted December 29, 2005 How cheap is cheap? I suggest the Etymotic ER-6i but they are a bit pricey. You can find them on sale, I got mine marked down to 83 dollars from the usual 150 but from what I hear, they are sooo very worth it (mine aren't here yet, heh) I'm not sure about those choices but I do know if u save up and get the ER-6i's, its worth the wait... Check out the customer photos. Incorrect. They have a short cord because they plug into an extension cord that comes with it that you can roll up and keep rolled up easily with a piece of the case. I own them, and they are quite nice. Or rather, they were quite nice until they stopped working, which is why I got these. I was just tired of cheaper headphones ceasing to work on me all the time. I treat my stuff with great care, too. But if you can't afford something expensive that comes with a good warranty, then I'd get those Sony's. The bass is their strong point, but the mids and trebles are just OK. (I still use the Sony extension cable to hook up the Super-fi 3's to my keyboard, and they work quite nice!) scribbles
I'd recommend a pair of Sharp MD33S's (or the Creative EP630's which are the same) and imo they sound much better than the EX51's my friend had. However you might find them difficult to find as they are only available in the Asian market, so you'll probably have to buy online. The price ranges but you'll likely find them for under $40. Furikuu
I also have a pair of EX71's and they're some of the best I've ever had for their price range. Very comfortable and they're the longest-lasting pair at nine months and still going strong. I'd recommend them without hesitation, but get the black ones. These white ones have started to turn grey :0 Griffin have just released their EarThumps, which look a bit sleeker and cost less. But I think I'm going to stick with these current ones for a little longer. jveek
Does anyone know if the JVC HA-FX55 use the Y-cord or 1 long/1 short? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/413955-best-canalphones/#findComment-587091811 Share on other sites
