Weather Photography/Pictures

Anyone interested in it? I love looking at pictures of extreme weather and unusual cloud formations.

I think why I'm mainly fascinated is because I don't see anything close to this where I am, which sucks.

These pictures are all from Australia, from this website.

yeah, i love photos of lightning and thunder storms!!! - hate being in them though :p

other extreme weather doesnt really interest me, but lightning :wub: the sheer power and electrical ferrocity of it all - i love insane electrical displays :) tesla coils and the likes :)

I'm guessing that the lightning pics were taken by leaving the shutter open for long, since the clouds in the background are blurry, but the lightning is sharp.

I can't even imagine someone timing a shot to lightning without leaving the shutter open for long. :blink:
