Google Videos now available for download

Just in the last few minutes, most all videos on Google Videos are up to be downloaded. Some require "Google Video Player", but a select few have the option to download straight to the iPod or PSP!

Check it out for yourself!

cool! always wanted to download some videos hosted on google. too bad you have to use google player for those you play on your pc.

edit: all the videos are the same. just download the one for the ipod or psp and play it with quicktime. the windows/mac option is a streaming file.

Windows/Mac doesn't download the video, it downloads a small file, and when you open it in Google Video Player (GVP) the player actually downloads it. Somewhat like a torrent, but without multiple seeds.

I'll keep using my grease monkey script that downloads the .flv. I can play that with VLC.

For some videos, you can also use it as .mp4, so you don't always have to have Google Video Player

Google Videos load so fast i don't care to download them. Sure with other sites that buffer the video and inject adds i download them. But i prefer to just use the website and not download extra software. That said I think this is a smart move by google.

That's becuase they get resized to full screen. When you download them you can use the player and they play at their normal size. Or, just click the Black "down" button on the far right of the player and click "Origional Size" and they have the same quality as anywhere else.

Awesome, I got Mario Unleashed on my iPod without a single problem. I guess it's because the screen is small, but it looks even better on the iPod

Well this is better than I thought..... I like how I can download it and stick it right on my ipod that is quite handy....the quality is still not the best IMO but it is pretty good

The quality is terrible. I'm too used to DivX and Xvid encodes that I can't take the pixelation.
