Not to take away from this great work, because it is great work, but I've recently found a good freeware program doing this (ShellEnhancer was too bloated and buggy) and it works beautifully. It's called WinMover. It might be good for those who don't want to use AutoHotkey. Also, it does have an exclusion list.

I may sound like a complete plant, but really, I've been looking for a program like this for years and I finally found a good one.

Herby,

I was searching for just this window functionality. This KDE-style is a great add in for windows. I am currently using it. I changed the code for middle mouse to do the window resize and took out the close functionality, to dangerous for me.

The only thing I have discovered is that I cant use this new window key combo (win-middle) to resize my Putty windows. http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/

Would anyone care to figure this out for me?

THANKS !

Hi

First of all I would like to thank for a brilliant tool for windows XP. It has really changed the way I interact with the machine.

However I have a few questions that I hope someone can assist with.

1) I am using the KDE-Style v1.0a.zip with the ALT key and I think it is fantastic. However there is one functionality which not quite work for me. That is the ALT middle mouse click to close a window. This only works 1 out of 3 times making it useless to improve efficiency. Also I do not prefer to use a function that involves a middle button click because it is akwarard.

2) The instructions says

Alt + Forward Button : Restore all windows and

Alt + Back Button : Minimize all windows..

Is this a forward button on a mouse? If so I guess I do not have these buttons..

Based on the points above can I please ask someone if they would be able to assist with creating a version like the suggestion below? If not please can anyone provide a documented version of the code and I will have a go myself:) What I suggest is a combination of the ALT key and the WIN key and I think this would be incredible efficient.

Alt + Left Button : Drag to move a window.

Alt + Right Button : Drag to resize a window.

Alt + Q + Left Button : Close a window.

Alt + Scroll Up : Maximize/Restore a window.

Alt + Scroll Down : Minimize a window.

Win + Left button: Restore all windows.

Win + Right button : Minimize all windows.

Cheers,

Jan
