Computer Guru
I know DivX 6.1 is a BIG improvement over DivX 6.0 and below, but IMO DivX missed the train a long time ago, and XviD took its place. Now, I encode my movies in XviD, but should I let XviD 1.1 or DivX 6.1 decode DivX movies? I have a DivX Create license.... ;)
Morgan
I've started using XviD and I haven't looked back!
Computer Guru
RIght.. but I am asking if someone benchmarked the two for DivX files. Not decoding XviD, but using XviD to decode DivX or DivX to decode DivX I always used to select DivX even with 6.0, I just thought its their codec, prolly support it bette,r but I just formatted and selected XviD now.... don't know waht's going to happen, going to try to rewatch a LOST episode to check it out :D
beniza
XviD here... i remember downloading You Got Served movie. On DivX Codec the movie was jumpy and then i installed XviD and the movie played smoothly without loosing quality :D
