The prog is a great release but i have a few questions...

1. When re-opening a minimised program from the taskbar, it doesnt re-appear, but comes up as a black task in objectbar.

2. Is there any way to stop me having to tell the comp who i am each time i turn on the PC? (log-on screen)

3. I cant find any way to resize the desktop icons - it was easy enough to do with v2, but i cant find any way (im probably being stupid)

Im sure there are simple ways to change these but i thought id ask.

Regardless of these

[center=]GET FLYAKITE V3 - IT RULES :cool:

.RHiNO

Well i've been using Flykite since version 1 but this installation screwed my Windows boot :( I had to use the BATCH Restore from the XP console :(. I hesitate to do it again now.

I restarted my comp after the installation, but when the boot screen appeared (gray back and the apple) juste after 1 sec it stays gray, but there's an error message that i can't read. Well, strange to explain but the font is totally screwed so i can't even read what's the message.

Any reason? I didn't install Flyakite v 2 before as i didn't for 1 -> 2 and on the aqua forums flyakite says it useless...

just for those curious.. my deNuoNet mirror is down for the next 19 hours because it generated over 20gb of bandwidth in the past 24hours, so during that time i will be working on a bandwidth limiting mechanism so the site doesn't get bogged down like it has been.

and for the other curious... i fixed my disgruntled-dutch mirror. The box is able to handle the connections fine but it was still running a default secured config of apache2 causing only 150 simultanous connections to be allowed. I have removed that limit and it seems the problem is resolved. (what was happening is people attempting to download / access the site were getting a "waiting for a response" reply because apache was being a price.

I can't believe I have pushed out 300gb worth of Flyakite.

Here is a graph...

(In means out as it means In from the PC to Switch), its a tad bit reversed then what you might be accustomed to.

http://joost.endoria.net/icontweaker/home/ <-- Is a good program to tweak icons... coming to the thunderbird icon problem... two possibilities.. 1) Your maginification is too high... 2) Thunderbird icon isn't a good quality one... Chris is not responsible for either btw...

Thx for the link Ark...I'll check it out!

Is it worth installing this? I downloaded this and put it on a CD, so whenever I want to install it I will, so I am wondering if it's worth it and does it mess with any of your files? Will it change any files or anything? Will I have to re-format if I want to uninstall?

i think to use the searchspy you have to have google desktop installed. my installation went well except for rk launcher which said about item something missing. another thing is i tried do the regedit to make the button text readable but stilll have them, arghh don't know what the problem is. oh btw how come the shutdown buttons and logoff buttons has a weird looking crooked image? just asking.

This is completely worth it. The very helpful thing about shell packs or bricopacks are that they are like regular programs. You install it with the .exe, you choose what to install/not install, and then it goes through the process to replace your icons/programs/animations/everything. Then, when you are fed up with it, you just press start, and then all programs, then go to the start menu folder, then click on un-install. Easy as that.

Is it normal that the buttons in the red box didn't change?

There are 5 files that won't change at all, maybe this is on of these. When i run the updater, they change, then immediately Windows Update tells me there's an update available for Internet Explorer. Always the same number of update: KBxxxxxx. If i let the Windows files, no problem, if i run Flyakite updater again, WU pops up again and again :pinch:

    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
