rock30
I have a user on our domain at work that's running Windows XP Pro and gets the following message when they login: Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system. DETAIL - The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format. It's appears to be loading a cached version of their user profile, which lets them do everything they need on the network, but this message is really annoying. I've searched the Microsoft knowledge base, but haven't come up with any answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Jon
Delete ntuser.dat from the profile, and log back in again. Actually rename it just incase.
