Bubbabyte Posted August 13, 2002 Share Posted August 13, 2002 I have two computers that run off of my network switch....so just incase you need the info...it goes cable...to modem...to switch...to 2 computers....both computers have a seperate IP address... the only problem is one is an xp machine and one is a 98 se machine.....i have no idea how to do this.... i have done xp to xp before and it is quite simple...just run the setup wizard...but what do i do with 98? could someone please help me or direct me to where i could get answers.... thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sailgreg Posted August 15, 2002 Share Posted August 15, 2002 Just make sure you have TCP/IP, Microsoft networking, and NetBios installed on the 98 computer, then enable file and printer sharing and it should work :) There are in rare cases some problems with xp when you are connected to a 98 computer and it makes file tranfers really slow,I think in SP1 these have been fixed :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
