 I just downloaded and tried out all the old versions of LE. I can't believe why anyone would even say they like any of them. They totally suck. :x Except for v5.x which is pretty decent, but far from perfect. I'm glad so many people have supported me and shown interest in updates all these years, otherwise I'd still probably be using LE2 or Windows Classic style. :p

Next version will be the end of the Luna Element era for Windows XP and hopefully keep people (and myself) pleased until Windows Vista is released.

Yea, well, you probably recognise me, I've been all the way following your work. I never liked the idea of WB5, and I'm glad you decided to focus on Windows XP classic theme style. I'm very glad we will have something new to cheer about while we wait for Windows Vista and (maybe?) the return of the great em3/tornado5 in the new generation of Windows next year.

While you were upset about the constant talking about LE5 mods a few weeks ago, I wasn't as supportive as I should have been. I'm sorry, and I'm letting you know again that I'm a huge fan of your work, and you are pleasing many people by updating this great theme once again. Thanks for all :)

I was looking forward to the glass version a bit :)

It's not that bad that it's not being released.

I already like it the way it is now :D

How are things going with the update?

Is it going to look better then it already does? :p

(I bet it will =P)

Sorry. No. The theme editor is too complicated. I tried it and successfully applied glass but it didn't really go with the theme. Also, without the blur effect the glass kind of lose purpose imo.

I have a personal mod in WB 5 with a blurred taskbar and a blurred start menu.

Are there any plans to go back to the LE roots and make a smooth substyle, as opposed to the 3D plastic look? I've been a huge fan of Lune Element since the very first one, and will continue to use any updates you release. :)

No. In fact the "3D" a.k.a the royale effect will be even more enhanced and refined in next version. :)

If anyone got a good eye you might spot some changes in this image.

Btw. I'm thinking about buying a TFT monitor. If anyone has any suggestions what model to buy send me a PM, no reply here. Need one that is good for everything (graphics/Internet/movies/occasional fps game) and 19" (if wide, >19").

^There won't be any alternate selection colors in the next version. Here is the new color. Haven't gotten to the black style yet.

Btw. Does anyone know how to remove the ATI Control Panel? How often do they really think people use it.

Add/ Remove Programs ;)

Removing from Add/Remove Programs will also unninstall the driver, so it's not recommended. To remove the context menu entry (the screenshot you posted) follow this steps:

* Regedit:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Directory \ Background \ shellex \ ContextMenuHandlers

* Delete the ACE entry, and close Regedit.exe

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time

    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
