@SooperDoode: Guess who has all those "mod" files ;)

I don't know. It's why I'm asking. If the stuff isn't for release than why do so many people have it? All I want is that alternative start button. It WAS posted on lunaelement.net sometime last year but since any traces have been removed from the site and all I can see of the mods are on screenshots.

There is a party in my pants and everyone is invitied. Except my brother...and that one scary dude who keeps coming up to me on the street and telling me eggs will make my hair grow long. Anyway, LE5.1 Black is Sa-WEET! I'm loving the orange. It'd be cool to see the same tray slider like in LE5.1 Blue. That's really easy to change though so I might give it a try. Everything else rocks harder than rocks. Very nice. Thanks Cap! Oh, and thanks to em3 for allowing the update and the logon and everything else!

Instructions?

Open ResEdit. File > Open > Chose LE Black.msstyle (Windows\Resources\Themes\LE Black). To the left panel go to Bitmap > BLACK_STARTBUTTON_BMP.BMP. Chose it. Chose Replace... on the menu and point to the new start button you want to use. When you are done save it.

@SooperDoode: PM me your email address and I'll send it.

@The people that thanked me: Thank you all :D

To the ones that want a green startbutton; why?

It doesnt fit the new Black theme at all.

Thanks Capricorn (and em3)! It's looking great.

There is a very, very small bug though:

EdgeLightColor = 241 239 226

Light3D = 241 239 226

They are is still 'creamy'. They should be set to 238 238 238 for example. Some apps use this color for the background of some elements (for example SpeedCommander).

Won't let me open .msstyle because it's only allowing .rc files?

Open Windows Explorer. Go to: Tools --> Folder Options. Under 'Tasks' select 'Use Windows classic folders'

Hope this helps :)

Thanks!

BTW I was wondering if I had permission to post a WB port for the skin?

Or use the NoShellstyle shellstyle by HSN (you can find it in Mint 2.0).

Make a subdir for LE Black called Shell and two subdirs there with NormalColor and BlackC. Copy the shellstyle from Mint 2.0 over.

Using this shellstyle makes some other parts of the gui look better - for example the Software applett:

Without shellstyle:

@Giga: ResEdit not Reshack ;)

@martin10018: Thanks for telling me that. It's fixed now. It's my first real Visual Style so dont blame me on little things like that :p

@NoLiMiT06: No ports, mods etc..

Bug fixes

- Fixed classic color scheme.

- Fixed password box in the logon screen. It still had blue corners.

Have a look at my post on GfxOasis. There is another color which needs to be fixed. And maybe you could consider my suggestion for the shellstyle.

    • Because of the EU (a good thing) newer android devices been getting 5 years worth of security patches. Except some Motorola which found the loop hole, and offer ZERO updates. In addition, Google for years have been making where it can patch some stuff by updating the core Google Play Store itself.  As echoed earlier,  you take the security risk in to your own hand beyond supported.

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
