I did have the opportunity to use it for a few days so thank you for that :D . My original idea was to stay with Windows XP until SP1 is release or more themes are available for Windows Vista. Unfortunately, I needed to use IIS7 for my work so I had to upgrade to Vista :( . A consolation for me is that I have Vista Ultimate and I have already patched it to have maximum transparency. However, I can't get AveDesk to run in Vista so that is really frustrating.

Looks nice. Unfortunately, I've just upgraded to Windows Vista as I needed it for a bit of work I'm doing so no more Luna Element for me :( . Oh well, I guess i just have to wait until something comes my way... :shifty:  .

@zeer88: You are right btw :p The orange need to be brighter. Someone told me that the orange looks to halloween-ish and the person is right ;)

@Scirwode: I'm glad you liked it :D Sorry to hear that Avedesk doesnt work. Goodluck with finding a solution for that :)

Regarding LE Black 5.1

Is there any possibility to get a substyle that the start button would be lit/glittered when pressed instead of being darken/shadowed?

Is it in plan to get substyle for different color than orange subcolor?

Is there any wip for that : (if none is it on the skinning planning?)

TIA! :)

Haha just saw that post,... Luck? What about patience and help also? :D

Pip'

@Pippin666: I actually began working on skins for that dialog today :p It's going to be hard to release it cause it needs some editing in shell32.dll and msgina.dll. So I dont know how I should release it :) With Windowblinds you can enhance the skin with antialiased corners etc. And other cool things :)

I'm just very curious, is using a skin like this one under WindowsXP Pro vs Vista 's gonna make any difference in therm of visual quality?

Pip'

I don't think it does. looks like it does on XP for the most part. exceptions are the shell style and the start menu are the vista style. probably can't do much about that until the new version of windowblinds.

    • I agree when are you going to read this (really poor BTW) article? Here is a better article so you actually know what is going on and answers questions you had in other comments --> https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/05/speed-boosting-low-latency-profile-is-one-of-the-improvements-coming-to-windows-11/ It is unclear if one will be able to disable the new profile at this point but I am not seeing any reason why one would.
    • I disagree; they come off very "bitchy" and "whiny". Make a great product and combine that with a great price (free) and people will come over to your side. Or build it and they will come as they say. Constantly trying to get attention by complaining all the time, will turn people off to your product.
    • It use to be a nightmare, with LibreOffice supporting a newer draft ODF standard by default, and Microsoft Office supporting the older non-draft standard. Now that they both support the same version of ODF, they should be interoperable.

    • Hi. As the title suggests, I can't access the forum on my phone. I'm using Edge on Android and when I try to navigate to the forum I get a "we value your privacy" popup and none of the buttons are clickable. It effectively stonewalls me from reading any forum content.
