Torrent Program Timer?

Is there a torrent program where you can control its timer?

As in, you can make it so that it only starts downloading at 1:10AM and stops at 9:50AM?

Gotta make use of the off-peak time ;)

I believe utorrent has a scheduler. Yep, it does. Azureus and bitcomet probably do too.

Ahh, ok. I'll have a look at Azureus more carefully. I'm not quite fond of uTorrent. Haven't been able to get my max speeds.

(I'm currently using BitTornado)

The program used to turn the computer off after a while is called Power Options located in the control panel. Just set the computer to sleep or hibernate after x amount of hours.

Azureus is a very good choice, except the java part of course, which makes me stay far far away from it :p As for bitorrnado, i just don't like the interface.

I tried uTorrent before and i thought i wasnt getting the speeds i was getting with azureus so i switched to BitComet, and my speeds went higher that uTorrent.

I am running Azeureus and have it setup to automatically start torrents between Midnight and 7AM, and stop all torrents between 7AM and Midnight.

You can even set it up to only download torrents between Midnight and 4AM, only seed between 4AM and 7AM, and do nothing between 7AM and Midnight.

Throttling Support for the time periods as well is possible.

Have a look at a plug in called Speed Scheduler for Azeureus. I am not sure if the installation program for Azeureus has it in the list, if not it can be downloaded manually, and found on the Azeurues website.

This plug-in still has Azureus running during the off-periods. It doesn't exit the program, or shutdown the PC.

If you wanted to you could use the Task Schedular to shutdown the PC @ 7:05AM everyweekday.

Cheers guys! I've got Speed Scheduler installed in Azureus, and have uTorrent setup.

Also installed BitComet too!

its fairly easy to setup.

If you want an example,

Go to C:\Program Files\Azureus\plugins\azplugins with azeureus installed - and the plugin.

Save the attached file there

Its an example of my schedules - I Have three configs - one which is only download between 12 and 7

One which is only download at all times, and one which is nothing between 7 and 12.
